It was the first light of dawn When James was jolted awake. "It's time to pack up and go. The sun is up so we're moving. Now." Fresco stated in a hushed voice.

James sat up and nodded "okay" he whispered. "I can carry yours and my bags if you'll carry Jamie and their bag. Are they still asleep?"

"yes. They're only seven. I'm not gonna force them to wake up this early." Fresco whispered "Especially not when we're trying to keep them in the dark about all this." James forced himself to get up with the help of his cane. James leaned down and picked up both his and Fresco's bags from the ground.

He looked over at Fresco, who held Jamie's small bag along with the sleeping seven-year-old. "We ready to go?" James asked. Fresco started walking out of the alleyway that the three of them had slept in for the night. "I'll take that as a yes" James said.

James looked around, he could see an old building, it was overgrown with Lichen, except for a few spots. it looked like someone had been taken off the building there, blood stains still remaining on the marble. James could read the fading words 'you will pay, forbidden children', they looked to be written in blood.

"Forbidden children, they'll be called. Ones who shouldn't have been born at all" James whispered to himself. He stopped and looked at the building. "What happened there?" He asked, pointing to the building.

Fresco shook their head "I don't know." They stated. James shook his head. He glanced back over and there was a body hanging, and the blood was fresh. The body had bright red hair that was poorly cut, and there was no way she was breathing, her bright orange tank top stained with blood. underneath was two people in black cloaks.

James felt himself back away, hiding behind a corner. He recognized one of them, a man known as Kevin Quells. He was there when James did his first quest with other Lady Demeter kids last semester. Kevin turned and James hid behind the corner.

James shook his head and the body was gone, the only remnants being the faded blood lettering. James looked over at Fresco "Did- did you see that? did you see them?" James asked. He prayed that he wasn't going crazy. He held onto the wall and peaked around the corner, praying that Kevin was gone.

The wall across the street wasn't a fresh, bright color anymore, and the only remains are the faded dried blood on cracked paint that was ready to come off. The body, Kevin and the other person with him were also gone. James rubbed his head and sighed, falling to the ground behind the corner.

"See what? You just started to back away and hide." Fresco stated. They sat down in front of James and reached out for him. "Are you okay? I don't see any hunters so we can rest for a bit if you need to"

James shook his head "I'll feel better when we're far away from this place. Let's keep moving." He said. Fresco nodded.

They both got up and started walking, the red and orange sky being the only thing that remained constant as they went forward. Fresco turned to look behind them and pulled James to the side.

They did it again, and again, and again. They looked behind them each time right before doing a turn "Don't look now, but there is someone behind us. I haven't been able to pin what they are yet so it's best to ignore them until we can figure out what to do." Fresco whispered into James' ear.

James did a subtle nod and held onto Fresco's arm with his free hand, keeping up with the giant beside him. James slowed his breathing back to normal. He glanced back at the building, and yet it remained old and gray. James looked forward as he tried to think about what he saw. James rubbed his head "I could have sworn- I saw Kevin and another person with him- I don't know who it was but I think they were more Feminine?"
