James panted as he reached the alleyway beside his dad's museum. He adjusted the backpack strings on his back that held the few clothes he managed to grab. "James." Fresco stated "you have a lot of explaining to do." They crossed their arms.
"I don't even know. I was summoned by Mother and- and she just started talking and it's like I knew what she wanted-" James said, holding the sides of his head as he sank down to the ground. "she talked about her daughter and King Hades being dependent on his proxy and It was- it was like I had no control of my tongue" James covered his mouth with his hands. "and I told her that I would kill the Grim Reaper of King Hades next time I see her." James felt his entire body shaking.
"Okay. We can figure something out. Did you switch your classes to be online? cause we can hide out from monsters, and you and Jamie can do it online so that you both can still graduate on time." Fresco stated. "I did this game when I was younger; we can survive."
"Game? what do you mean?" James asked "and yes, I did switch my classes to online."
Fresco sighed "we'll need to hide from Demititan hunters too. If they learn of us being Demititans who aren't exactly protected by their godly parents, they'll kill us." They explained. "Demittians hunters are like blood hounds for the gods. It would be better if we had the eye of mortality, but last I knew, it was with Trenton."
"that's not good." James said. Fresco nodded.
"Don't worry, I can handle the survival part, we just need to limit any use of power and any key physical attributes of our parents. Which none of us have." Fresco stated. They kept moving their head back and forth to look at either side of the alley way "you can do school work at night. In the daytime, we can't stop moving." Fresco held out a hand for James "and we won't be telling Jamie this. It's best if they don't know what's going on. I'd even suggest we'd have left them at the school, but I can't trust anyone else to keep a good watch over the little mountain child."
James nodded and took Fresco's hand along with his cane "that's not too hard, since Jamie is deaf. We just don't sign. RIght?" Fresco pulled James onto his feet. James held onto the wall as he tried to find good footing with his cane. James then turned to Jamie and signed, "we have to walk to our vacation. Come on Jamie, we will do school work at night time." Jamie nodded and got up. James sighed and looked at Fresco.
They both nodded at each other and started walking, Jamie wedged between the two of them. James tapped the ground gently with his cane as they walked. "what's going to happen now, Fresco?" James asked. "I can't lie, I'm a bit scared- what if this doesn't work and Lady Demeter gets upset that I ran?" he whispered.
Fresco shook their head "don't think about that. It won't help you get your school work done, and it won't help us survive this." They stated. "Don't think about anything, just keep walking with me. We have to go. I can feel one of them." Fresco turned to look behind them as they spoke. "get on my back, I'll pick up Jamie." they whispered. "be prepared to fight, just in case."
James nodded and leaned against the wall as he put his cane into a special hook on his bag. James reached up and grabbed onto Fresco's neck. Fresco then picked up Jamie and started to run. James held on tightly to the chest-plate like shirt that Fresco always wore.
James turned to look behind him, there looked to be a male following, his face was mostly covered by a black cloak that stopped at his elbows. James caught a faint sight of what symbol was on the neck.
It was a Trident. This was a child of King Poseidon. James looked at Fresco "There is a hunter after us." He whispered "A hunter of King Poseidon." Fresco nodded. Soon, the three of them hit a dead end. "James, hide with Jamie. The child of King Poseidon will be here soon. I'll fight them off, while they're distracted, run."
