We sat down at our favorite place.
We always found ourselves here.
You can't go wrong with Lemonade.
"Hello!" The waitress said a little too cheery.
"Hi" I smiled at her.
"What can I get for you guys today?" She asked.
"I want a regular lemonade" Jai ordered his drink.
"I would like a strawberry lemonade please" I smiled at her.
She nodded her head and walked towards the counter. I saw her grab two cups and begin to make the lemonade.
"I'll be right back" Jai got up and walked towards the bathroom.
I took out my phone to pass time.
Jai eventually came out.
"Are you coming to the L.A show?" He asked.
"Of course I am"
"Good" he smiled.
Our drinks came and Jai paid the girl and tipped her.
"Are you alright?" Jai asked.
"Yeah, why you ask?"
"Because you seem to be out of it, you keep spacing out"
I sighed.
"Let's walk while we drink this drink" I told him.
"Okay"
We both got and and began walking towards the park.
"What's on your mind?" He asked.
"Many things" I looked at him.
"Like"
"My mom, my dad, my career, my future, you, me, us"
"What about us?"
"Oh nothing really" I looked at him.
"Are you thinking of breaking up or something?" He asks worriedly.
I chuckle. "No"
"Then what about us ?"
"How our life has changed"
"It has changed a lot hasn't it?" He laughs.
"Very"
"Jai?" I ask him as we sit down on the park bench.
"Yeah?"
"Do you ever want a family, I mean with children?"
He looks at me and smiles.
"It's whatever life brings me"
I smiled at him.
"Why you asking?" He asked.
I shrugged.
"I just, uh... I" I couldn't get the words out.
"Are you?" He asked.
"Three months, almost four"
He just blinked at me.
"Wait?" He continued to blink. "I thought you would always lose the baby?"
"I got treatment. They said if nothing happens during the first five months then the baby will be fine"
"So you are actually" he paused. "Pregnant?"
"Yeah" I looked at him. "I'm guessing you don't like the idea"
"No, no! I do! It's just that this was a shocker To me" he looked at the kids at the park.
