  Hey everyone i am going to try and make this chapter longer than the rest because the past 3 chapters have been 500 words! Oh and the pic is their car but its green not white

The highway was a disaster with everyone trying to get out of town as soon as they can but the thing is where will they run to? If what the news lady said is true than no place is safe. 

We were just pulling up to my house and i can see my moms car parked in the driveway, if i did not tell you already my mom is a science tech person she works on diseases so maybe she will know whats happening. Tina and I get out of the car and i hear a BANG! which sounds like a gun shot and i quickly run up to the house. I turn the door knob with Tina right behind me we walk in and she shuts the door behind us and what i see.....

 My mom holding a gun with my brother on the carpet floor of the living room with a puddle of blood near his head. 

''MOM!!! WHAT DID YOU DO!'' i scream at her and that seemed to shock her because she jumped a little. By this time i am balling and i can feel my self getting dizzy.

''Oh Kat baby no'' My mom dopes the gun and helps Tina hold me up right and they lead me into the kitchen and set me down on a chair. Tina sits down next to me. I wipe my tears and take a good look at my mom and see that she looks beat up and her hair was a mess.

''Kat,Tina i can explain but i haven't got much time so listen to me''

'' There has been an out break turning people into these zombie like creatures, i'm sure you two herd it on the news and that's why you came home but anyways their has been a mishap in the lab and now the whole U.S.A is infected, but that doesn't matter'' she looks at her watch with a panicked expression.

''Ok

One those creatures roaming out there will eat everything and anyone they are no longer human

Two shoot them in the head no where else, at what ever cost you have to destroy the brain

Three trust no one in this cause people turn savage they will do anything to survive 

Four if you get bit you turn'' 

She sighs ''ok take this it has the address of an science lab in Minnesota and here is a map to get there'' she hands me the papers '' go to the top floor and the code is I  LOVE TACOS'' I almost giggle at the stupid name like really? 

'' this is important girls my time has come and i cant get the file by myself and i need you two to get it then Jeb will tell you to go from there'' she pauses and rises a gun to her head. my eyes widen in realization '' MOM! no what are you doing'' I go to stand up but she shakes her head slightly.

'' Your brother bit me... he was infected and i will turn any time now. I love you and rember what i told you--

''Miss.Robben there has to be something you can't die'' Tina pleads i can see tears in her eyes.

''No i would rather die than become one of those things'' she says with a sadness in her eyes then the thing that made this all real to me that made me realize this is not a joke or a dream.

                                             My mom pulls the trigger. and her body falls limp
