well. well. well.

honestly. didn't think we'd make it here. BUT WE DID SOOOOOO...

HELLO TO MY LOVELY READERS WHO HAVE STUCK AROUND – DEMIGODS AND MORTALS ALIKE.

welcome to my hoo series – v.1.5! (yes. 1.5 because i didn't actually finish them last time i wrote them.

i am literally stoked that we made it to this point. i was a little concerned there for a bit. also the way this series is written is gonna stretch my writing so much after writing in limited 1st person for so long, but now i will write in first person but with MULTIPLE POVS. i am mostly concerned with showing different personalities so, if you have suggestions i am very much open to them. either way BEAR WITH ME Y'ALL! either way, i'm so excited to be here and for everyone to read and hopefully enjoy what i've got in store.

so for starters, if you haven't, i would recommend you reading the first five elway saga books (they're all in the lil playlist/collection/whatever thing on my page). they do go right along with this one as they are part of a series and you will get a TONNNNNN of background that i may forget to mention in these ones (hopefully i won't but ya never know). but if you're like "hahahaha...im not reading five books before this" all power to you!

*claps hands* okay, so as we dive head first into this series, just a couple like overview things for its entirety (this will be in future books per usual just like in the pjo side of this saga).

• as you see, this is a heroes of olympus series. but like i mentioned before, i did write a percy jackson and the olympians series as well. however–depending on my own availbility and bandwidth, i will be going through the kane chronicle crossovers (when we get to that point), some of the demigod files stuff (maybe), some trials of apollo (per chance), annnnddddddd...anything else i wanna add hahah (i might add some of the solangelo on top of the newer pjo books – but we'll get there when we get there because ya girl's brain is slightly fried and i wanna work on some other stuff i've had in my back pocket for a HAWT second).

––> little side note: i did really good on like adjusting the gifs for the ages of the characters in previous series. however, bc it takes literally hours for me to find all the gifs and stuff (wattpad only allows a certain size file and its really hard to find some of the faceclaims in gifs i like), i think outside of like sal and kaz – everyone's gifs will stay the same for the most part. just to save my sanity. and i might change my mind, but for right now – that's the sitch. *rant over*

• this is my second (kinda) time writing this half of series with our girl as the first version was literal trash. so much so that i never even finished it. whoops. but either way, this is verson 1.5 and with all the changes in the first series, the older version of this is practially scrapped and we are starting from the ground and building up. as a heads up, like before – if you've read the hilton chronicles and/or fox, its gonna be just as sad and probably MUCH darker so prepare yourselves. so in other words, im hoping its good and you like it haha

• i feel like there is more that i wanted to say but i cannot remember so if i do i will add it later.

anyways! okay! so! this is for all the other books too, but as this is the first one in this half of the series, here is the gist of some other stuff that will be at the beginning of the others:

• overall note about this series, there are LOTS of characters from different backgrounds (ethnicities, family life, etc.). my goal for this part of the series is to represent respectfully and redeem some of the characters from the OG series. the series honestly kinda lost its spark for me w the lack of personality in some of the characters that wasn't respectful of who they are and what their history  is.  An example is specifically Piper. i have done HOURSSSSS of research to almost reassemble her as a character to be more respectful to the Cherokee Nation. also so she's not as like AGH. I HATE ALL GIRLY THINGS. GIRLS WHO LIKE THAT ARE THE WORST. BLAH BLAH BLAH (bc that is one of the things that Rick did that still has me shaking my head—Piper feels like a character who doesn't take crap but is a girls girl so if you don't like her in this im sorry but i tried). But all that to say, I am going to work to the best of my abilities to write her in a way that is realistic and respectful. same with leo, hazel, and frank.

• our girl (sal) is Mexicana, and i am not. so i will do my absolute best to represent her character and if there is anything that needs to be changed, redone, or added, please contact me/leave a comment and i will fix it!

--> side note to that: i am not fluent in Spanish, so i am hoping my knowledge as taught by professor duolingo plus google (rip) will be good, but if i need to fix something, let me know please!

• she comes from a neglectful/abusive mortal extended family. there will mentions of her past and referneces to conversations that happened in the first series. i do not know how much i will go into all of that in this series, but either way, it will be present and is a part of her story. i will do my best to be gentle with the subject but also honest bc it defines her so much.

--> side note: BUT!!! if/for any of these topics, they will most likely all be in italics and you will be able to tell where they are most likely. when i go back through and edit, i will work on adding warnings though, so yeah. if there are scenes where you're like, "yo, gwen, maybe put a warning here," i will absolutely fix that when the comment hits my inbox.

• on the casting of this book: i came up with this book series' casting before all the casting for the show was released, so they will not be matching with the tv actors. BUT. i am beyond excited for walker, leah, and aryan and cannot wait to see them bring our beloved characters to life on screen. (i already have an idea – but we gotta finish this and a couple of other things before we even think about that hahah)

i think that's like all the in general information that needs to be mentioned, now for like specific warnings for this book (hopefully i can remember everything that is mentioned in this book, lemme know if there is more please so i can add it here)...

• warnings: depression, anxiety, self-harm, etc., racist comments (specifically in the first couple of chapters bc people are rude), family trauma talks (abuse, neglect, etc.)

(i will add more as it comes up...)

but yeah!

so just lemme know if there are any changes that need to be done in grammar, warnings, content, etc.

i am all open to hear it!
