First off, this version of Hell is more like a 'fantasy realm'. So if you are highly religious, keep that in mind.
Second, it's still vaguely based on the biblical Hell. So there are a lot of messed-up things mentioned in the background. Don't read if you're squeamish.
Third, this MC is the antagonist from another book. So you may find him to be annoying/obnoxious in the beginning, but he will have character growth.
