The year is 2015, with the beginning of summer around the corner. The sun is shining down on the Earth, glaring off the one and only Big Apple. There, in a decently sized house in a rural community along the coastline, an alarm goes off, and slowly, a boy, no older than 15, wakes up, shutting off the alarm. His room is filled with super hero posters, science gadgets, and signed autographs from musicians. This is Mike, who was now getting dressed as he heard someone call his name.

???: Mike! Hurry your big butt up!

The boy known as Mike then went wide-eyed as he quickly changed and did his morning routine, from brushing his teeth to packing his school bag before heading downstairs to the smell of cooked pancakes waiting for him. His parents, Robert and Cassandra Campbell, were waiting for him, drinking their coffee and reading the newspaper.

Cassandra: About time, breakfast is getting cold.

Mike: Sorry. I was really groggy this morning.

Robert: Stayed up late again?

Mike: Ya, was working on another school project for my robotics and sciences classes.

Robert: Hey, don't work yourself to death yet. You got like 10 more years until it's required.

Cassandra gave him a loving look while Mike sheepishly smiled, saying he just couldn't help himself and his passions. Everyone finished their food and Mike finished getting his things, saying goodbye to his parents as he headed to his bus stop for school.

Mike eventually made it to school, and to his surprise a little earlier than usual, so he decided to go and spend some time in the library but unfortunately he ran into his life long bully, Daren. He was a much taller 17 year old, Mike who always had to tolerate his crap because his father was a police officer.
