[Liam's P.O.V.]

I silently fixed the boy some food as I kept glancing at him. He continually rubbed tiredly at his eyes as he looked around with a curious look on his face. I finished making his sandwich and placed it on a plate for him. I set the plate down at the table and turned around to get him some water. I turned back around to find the sandwich nearly gone and the rest of it was quickly on it's way with the rest of the sandwich. The boy shoved the rest of it in his mouth and hardly chewed. He seemed to noticed my stare because he glanced over at me. I smiled at him and handed him his water.

"Do you need another sandwich?"

A blush filled the boy's cheeks as he looked down at his empty plate. I lightly chuckled as I made the boy and myself a sandwich. I placed one of the sandwiches on his plate and the other on mine. He scarfed down his and drank some water.

"What's your name?"

The boy set his half a sandwich down and looked down at his lap. He shook his head and looked up at me with wide eyes. His eyes were beautiful. A light blue with golden flecks in them. They nearly made my heart stop beating as I smiled to him.

"Can't talk, huh?" I asked and he shook his head again. "How about I call you Blondie then?"

The boy raised his eyebrow as though questioning the nickname but I just smiled.

"You've got blonde hair, silly," I leaned forward and scratched at his ears.

He sighed in content as he leaned into my touch and shut his eyes. I continued to scratch at his matted ears and he smiled happily.

"I suppose since you can't really talk, you can't tell me where you're from, can you?"

The boy didn't seem to hear me as he pressed his head even harder into my hand. I chuckled and the boy opened his eyes. He rubbed tiredly at him and I seemed to notice his attire for the first time. He was in a dirty, torn white shirt and tattered sweats. A frown forced itself on to my face and it seemed to confuse the boy because he tilted his head slightly to the left.

"Do you want some new clothes?" I asked him and he nodded. "Can you understand everything that I'm saying to you?"

Again, the boy nodded and I smiled to him. I stood up and extended my hand to him again. He stared at my hand for a moment and I pointed to his hand. He glanced at his hand and I reached for it. He instantly flinched away and I quickly back away.

"I'm not going to hurt you," I said again. "I promise."

The boy seemed to debate trusting me as he reached for my hand. I smiled and gently pulled him to the bathroom. I began to show him how the shower but he quickly shook his head as he turned the water on.

"Well looks like you've got that covered," I said as I turned back to the boy who already started striping. "I'll leave you out some clothes."

I exited the bathroom as the boy reached for his trousers. I assumed that he was about the same size I was so I grabbed him a clean shirt and sweats. I placed them on the counter and found a towel for the boy. I walked back to the front room and flipped on the telly. I mindlessly watched the screen as my mind raced with the idea of the boy having dog ears. Was it actually possible for the boy to be part dog? Where did the boy come from? And how did he end up by my house? I shook my head and got up to clean the kitchen. I placed our plates and cups in the dishwasher and turned it on. I hummed a song that I had heard on the radio earlier in the day as I walked back into the front room. Blondie was finished with his shower and staring confused at the television. He was holding his towel and dirty clothes in his hands and in inched closer to the screen. An amused smile formed on my face as I watched him.
