Nothing Like Sleeping With The Deer

Still I wish they would've cared more.

Savannah's POV

It was silent. No one spoke. I think we all were too tired to speak. We had been walking for 6 hours straight.

All of a sudden, a low deep growl came from the woods. I immediately jumped into Louis' arms, just like I did when I was scared in the dark on the island. I heard a whimper from Kimmy. Kimmy was hardly ever afraid. I hurried back over to Harry. We stopped in our tracks. 

"On three," Louis said. "One...two...three."

We sprinted as fast as we could away from the growling noise. I could hear Kimmy crying. I wanted to comfort her like a good best friend would, but  we didn't have time. None of us knew if the beast was following us. Harry was starting to get heavy and I could tell he was in a lot of pain so I slowed down for him.

"You okay?" I whispered.

"Yeah." He said breathless. 

- 3O MINTUES LATER -

"Look!" Louis exclaimed. 

"Uh..it's to dark to see anything!" I stated.

"It's a deer farm!" Niall said hopefully.

"And..?" Kimmy raised her eyebrow.

"We can stay here. No critters can get in and shooting is illegal in there," Liam said happily.

"I don't know if the owners would like that very much.." Harry said.

"Would you like to bleed to death then?" Louis sassed.

I could feel Harry roll his eyes. "Fine."

"Look here is a banner. We can use it to cover the wound until morning," Kimmy suggested.

She ripped the banner down that read: Hershey's Deer Farm

My cousin told me about deer farms. They are place to raise injured and baby deer and then they are released back into the wild. Hunting in the farms are illegal.

We slipped in between the fence and settled down in the far corner. I had Harry lift his shirt up again and I wrapped the banner around his stomach. The banner looked big and bulky, but it was nice to have something stop the bleeding for awhile. 

Suddenly, I was angry. Angry at the boys. They did nothing to help Harry at all. 

"Maybe you guys can watch Harry tonight since you did NOTHING for him earlier," I spat.

"Maybe you should stop babying him!" Liam spat back.

I scowled. I can't believe Liam had said that. Who did he think he was? He was obviously jealous. I stomped over far away from the group and wrapped my arms around myself to keep warm, hot tears trickled down my face. 

"Hey you okay?" Harry asked.

I quickly wiped my tears away. 

"Yeah," I responded quickly.

"Thanks for helping me. It probably saved my life to stop for those couple of minutes." I could hear him smile.

I looked towards the ground. It felt like we were in the cave again back on the island, the darkness clouding our faces so  that I couldn't see him. 

"You know I like you, Savannah..." He whispered so quietly I barely caught what he said.

"Yeah."

"Do you like me back?" He asked.

"I-I don't know...."

There was no response after that. I heard some scuffling and then silence.

"Harry?" I whispered.

"I'm right here." His voice came from a couple inches away, but from the ground. I guess he was trying to sleep. My eyes started closing and before I knew it I was out cold.

Sorry that this chapter wasn't as interesting it was more drama, but hey what's a story without drama?
