Chapter 24: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Hawkeye: <firing his arrows> Stark, you got a lot of strays sniffing your tail.

Ironman: <radio> I'm just trying to keep them off the streets.

Hawkeye: well, they can't bank worth a damn. <shots down a Chitauri ship without looking> so find a tight corner.

Ironman; <radio> I will roger that.

Ironman flew near the building Hawkeye was at as Hawkeye aimed and fired an arrow that hit the Chitauri leading the others making its craft splint in two as Ironman stalled and destroyed a Chitauri before he continued flying and went inside a tunnel making the Chitauri follow him as one crashed into a building when Ironman did a U-Turn as he still had two on his tail.

Ironman: oh boy.

Ironman flew inside a tunnel as got the two Chitauris crashed as he escaped the tunnel.

Ironman: nice call. What else you got?

Hawkeye: <radio> Thor is taking on a squadron down on Sixth.

Ironman: and he didn't invite me.

A Leviathan turned and was heading for a building but inside Hulk ran through every office cubicle as the citizens moved out of the way and Hulk jumped out hanging on the Leviathan's jaw making it turn as its fins hit the building's windows.

At the street, Widow got slammed onto the hood of a car as she dodged the stab of the Chitauri as Mockingbird got on the Chitauri's back and tugged it back letting Widow grab the blaster spear as Mockingbird bird jumped off and Widow killed the Chitauri before she turned and Cap jumped but Widow held her fire.

Widow and Mockingbird were clearly tired.

Widow: Captain, none of this is going to mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal.

Cap: our biggest guns couldn't touch it.

Widow; well, maybe it's not about guns.

They see more Chitauri arriving not too far away.

Cap: if you want to get up there, you're going to need a ride.

Widow: <hands the weapon to Mockingbird> I got a ride. I could use a boost, thought.

Cap: <gets ready> are you sure about this?

Widow: yeah. It's gonna be fun.

Widow ran at Cap as she jumped on the hood of a car then his shield as he boosted her into the air and she grabbed onto a Chitauri craft mid air.

Mockingbird; she's insane.

They took cover as the Chitauri were closing in as Mockingbird got the spear blaster ready.

Widow got on the craft as she cut the chain keeping the soldier in place before kicking him off, she then jumped and stabbed two daggers on the Chitauri pilot's back controlling where he was going.

Widow: okay, turn, turn. Less! Less!

Widow flew as the Chiaturi saw her and fired at her but then IronMan and IronLad blasted the Chitauri that were chasing her and some that were chasing them as they flew through multiple Chitauri soldiers as they helped Captain America and Mockingbrid fight off some more Chitauri soldiers. Wade blocked some shots for Mockingbird letting her fire back rapidly while Ironman sent a beam towards Cap that he deflected towards the soldiers taking out several of them.

Wasp and Ant-Man were still rescuing civilians as Wasp saved a little boy with green eyes and a little girl with orange eyes from a Chitauri soldier and she led them to safety.
