SHIELD Helicarrier No POV

The team just finished listening to Loki's speech.

Banner: he really grows on you, doesn't he?

Cap: Loki's gonna drag this out. I doubt Amora will say anything. So, Thor, what is their play?

Thor: Loki has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract.

Cap: an army from outer space.

Janet: seems aliens are definitely not friendly.

Banner: so, he's building another portal. What's what he needs Erik Selvig for.

Thor: Selvig?

Banner: he's an astrophysicist.

Thor: he's a friend.

Natasha: Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours.

Hank: mind control of some kind.

Cap; I want to know why Loki let us take him and Amora.

Banner: I don't think we should be focusing on Loki or Amora. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You could smell crazy on him.

Thor; have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother.

Bobbi: he and Amora killed 120 people in two days.

Thor: he's adopted. Amora is misguided.

Janet: that explains a lot.

Banner; I think it's about the mechanics.

Hank: the Iridium... what do they need the iridium for?

Wade: it's a stabilizing agent.

Tony, Coulson, and Wade came in as Tony wore a suit and Wade was in a T-shirt and jeans.

Tony: <to Coulson> I'm just saying, pick a weekend. I'll fly you to Portland. Keep love alive.

Coulson: <gestures he was gonna go over there and walks away>

Tony; like Wade mention, it means that the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at SHIELD. No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing. <pats his arm> also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long, as Loki wants. <stands where Fury normally stands> raise the mizzenmast. Jib the topsails.

Janet: <giggles>

Tony: that man is playing Galaga. He thought we wouldn't notice, but we did. <covers his left eye for a second> how does Fury even see these?

Hill: he turns.

Tony; sounds exhausting.

Wade: continuing what my dad was saying, the rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The only major component he still needs is a power source of high-energy density.

The others were so focused on Wade that Tony placed a small device below one of the screens Fury uses on the metal part.

Wade: something to kick-start the Cube.

Hill: when did you both become experts in thermonuclear astrophysics?

Tony: last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, the extraction theory papers. Are we the only ones who did the reading?

Janet: it was all gibberish to me.

Cap: does Loki and Amora need any particular kind of power source?
