More Leviathans were coming out of the portal and heading in different directions.
Widow: guys.
Ironman: call it, Captain.
Cap: all right, listen up. Until we can close that portal, our priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Mr Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash.
Hawkeye: can you give me a lift?
Ironman; right. Better clench up, Legolas.
Ironman grabbed Hawkeye and flew him to the top of the building.
Cap: Thor, you got to try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You got the lightning. Light the bastards up.
Thor; <flies off>
Cap: Dr Pym, Ms Van Dyne, Dr Stark, you three save the civilians. Get them past the perimeter. Dr Stark, once you are done you join your father on his role.
IronLad: got it, Captain.
Ant-Man and Wasp went small as IronLad flew off.
Cap: <to Widow and Mockingbird> you two and me, we stay here on the ground. We keep the fighting here. And Hulk...
Hulk: <snarls>
Cap: Smash.
Hulk smirks as he jumps to a building while being fired. He clings to the wall while grabbing a Chitauri before he jumps to another building smashing Chitauri soldiers as he grabbed the last one before he jumped and threw that soldier through a window. He then jumped while some Chitauri ships flew past and he destroyed two.
Thor landed at the top of the Empire State Building as he summoned lightning that charged up through the top of the building before he sent it to the portal as multiple Chitauri ships were destroyed as it pushed a Leviathan back before it blew up in the portal.
IronLad, Wasp, and Ant-Man were already getting people off the streets and into buildings as IronLad blasted any Chitauri that comes near them. IronLad saw two kids trapped before he flew over to them and opened his face plate to talk to them.
Wade: you two okay? I'm going to get you to safety. What are your names?
Gwen: Gwen.
Miles: I'm Miles.
Wade: very well. Come on.
IronLad's faceplate came down as he led the children towards Wasp as they escorted the civilians away as a police captain saw them.
???: Gwen!
Gwen: daddy!
The police captain picks up the girl and hugs her as he also brings the boy to a hug as well. The captain looks at IronLad.
???: thank you.
IronLad: no problem.
IronLad flew off as an officer ran over.
Officer: Captain Stacy, the National Guard is closing in.
Captain Stacy; good. Let's get the civilians to safety. <hands them the kids> take them to the nearest precinct.

Fury was watching various news outlets on the screens as Hill walked over to him.
