Minx (Book 1: Elements)

With Hutch on your lead; you can go somewhere. But with a good friend behind my back; I'm pretty cocky and confident that we'll escape this Abilities place. Oh yeah, Chilled is behind me. Chilled and I has become good friends, also Chilled is gay. So, we can't really date. It's kind of cute when Chilled tries to flirt with other guys, and the guys would be confuse. Chilled will have this 'oh crap' face, like he just realized that the guy is straight; so he'll just laugh and say that it's an inside joke with someone. It's pretty adorable. Right now, Chilled is in the middle of trying to flirt with this one other guy; Chilled would talk hours about him. I think his name was Ze or Steven or something. But, I have seen Chilled hang out with him, and it's adorable. I have seen Ze (or whatever his name is) blush, so Chilled would have a chance with Ze.

Anyways, back to reality.

I was feeling really cocky and confident with this escape plan. Most of us are trained to be solders (Me). So, we can fight without magic.

Hutch lead the way, Hutch would stop at a 3 or 4 way and stop, and he would think. Like, he runs hell-ish fast. I'm serious, he's like quick and fast. So, he'll be far ahead of us. So, if he stops; we won't bump into him.

I heard the alerts, well, who hasn't? Well, anyone who's deaf I guess. I was at the back of the ground, making sure everyone goes ahead of me. But like I have mention; Chilled was stubborn and insisted that he has to go behind me; to make sure he 'protects me'. Like, it would be cute if he's straight, but I think this is a friendship goal. But, I want to be the one to protect him. Because, I'm the leader of my year and I should be in the front round of a war; but Chilled, he's a very protective friend. Chilled, is my one and only friend I have. Hm, the only friend you have; turns out to be gay. Like, he's a hot guy. Like, I do understand how girls would fall for him. But, the thing is; I'm not really interested in him. Like, I'll admit that he's hot, but I don't like him. Like "Hey, I'm Minx. Do you want to make-out in the closet?" Like, I don't see him as that. But it's kind of amazing that my friend is gay. Like, who has a gay best friend? Apparently, my only friend is.

Anyways, Chilled would look back. His chocolate brown eyes is now changed to a fearless and powerful orange. Like, he was confident. Behind us; there was a wave of solders, all of them were armed with weapons and they have bullet-proof vests. Chilled smirked, like it was amusement to him. He wave his hand toward them and then flick his wrist and the hallway behind us; started to fill up with fire. And then, Chilled wave his hand toward the wall. And the fire disappeared; and the bodies were badly burnt. I looked at Chilled with awe. Chilled give me a smirk.

"What-what?" I asked in awe. I was so speechless. Like, how can Chilled use his elements?

"I'm an Elemental." Chilled answer, with a smile.

"What are your elements?" I asked him.

"Fire, Wind and Lightning." Chilled answered. I give a small nod in like I understand everything he's saying.

We bumped into people in front us, and we looked up. Solders were in front of us; and Hutch was pinned to the wall; like his face was facing to the wall. I looked at Chilled.

"You need to hide your element powers. If Adam finds this out; you're dead." I whispered to him, deadly serious.

"Minx, you should go up."

"Then you must accompany me."

"Okay, let's go."

Chilled and I go up. Anthony was pinned to the face, just like Hutch was; his face was facing to the wall. I looked at Chilled, he and I started to understand our little plan. Once I and Chilled got to the front of the Elements, we were faced with Adam. Adam give us an amusing smirk, like he was amused of our actions.

"Adam, we are here to go. We have no element powers, so we cannot perform any magic. So, we cannot have an Elemental Age."

"No. The Elemental Age can still happen. That's why we put you guys in those cells, they are magic proof. So, right now. You're proving that someone here is an Elemental. I know Hutch is. But, I'm pretty sure there's another." Adam replied. He looked at Chilled, with a smirk on his face. "You." He pointed at Chilled. "Pretty boy, come here." Chilled looked at me with fears and amusement at the same time. Chilled went toward Adam, his shoulders were up high; like he was confident.

"What do you want?" Chilled hissed.

"What are you?"

"I'm a Fire Element." Chilled answered.

"Is that all?"

"Yes." Chilled answer, plain serious. Adam give a smirk of amusement. As he send Chilled back, Adam looks amused like he knows that Chilled is lying. I looked at Chilled, we both mentally planned our plan. Chilled nodded, but I looked at him worried. He went to the back of the crowd of elements. I looked back at Adam.

"Is there anyone else you want to investigate for Elemental?" I asked, like I tried to act like I don't know that Chilled isn't an elemental. Adam opened his mouth to talk, but it ends up; he didn't say anything. But Chilled's voice echoed through the hallways.

"NOW!"

And the Elements started to run the other way from Adam. Adam got so mad, he shot a light beam. I stepped in front of the beam. I didn't feel anything. So I attacked on of the guys who had Hutch pinned up. The one who had Anthony pinned up, he pointed his gun at me. But, I push Hutch's guard forward, and I grabbed Hutch's guard's gun and shot Hutch's guard. Hutch looked at me, in amusement. Then I shot Anthony's guard.

"Hutch, Anthony. Go with the Elements. Chilled and I will take it." I announced. Hutch nodded and the 2 leaders run where the Elements were last found running. Chilled send a small shield between Adam and us. I looked at Chilled (who was still here). Chilled turned to me, he give a smile. Then, I saw a knife being thrown in midair. I didn't react fast enough, because Chilled ended up; being the target of the knife. The Knife stabbed at the heart of Chilled. Chilled fallen to the ground. I quickly got to him. I flipped Chilled's body, so he can face the ceiling not the ground. I heard some more guards coming.

"Minx, go. Now! Go." Chilled groaned.

"No, I'm not leaving without you."

"Minx go! Please." Chilled begged.

"No! You're my only friend, and I'm not leaving my own friend!"

"Yes, you are." Chilled commanded, as he pulled the knife from his heart. He was surprising still alive. "Go, now. Adam will get you if you don't go now." Chilled give me the knife, I looked at him. Before getting up and running. I run as fast as I can.

I saw the exit and run for it. When I got out, I jumped up. And tumbled down a steep hill. Then, landing on my back; painfully. I looked back the Abilities base, and imagine how my only friend will suffer through this one. I sighed.

As I looked up, seeing the rest of the Elements here.

Anthony walked to me, he give me a hand. "Get up, Minx." It was commanding, but he said it without the pity in his voice, it was more like a friendship-like way. I got up from the ground. I don't want to know what I look like; after looking at the other elements' damage. I saw Anthony, playing with a flame in his hand. He saw me looking at me. "I'm an Elemental." He answered, like he knew that I was going to ask; how can he control magic.

"How come, all of the Elements leaders are Elemental? When, I'm just a 2-Element person?" I jokingly asked, Anthony manage a smile and laugh.

"Probably because you're not special." Anthony joked.

"Shut up."

"What about no—"

"Stop it you two." Hutch commanded with a small smile. He looked at the Elements Faction. "Elements! We have to get to the base! We will start a war. We will save Chilled but first, we need to prepare!"
