Minx (Book 1: Elements)

Biting my bottom lip furiously. I wanted to talk and speak up, and try my best to defend Elements' territory. But I knew that if I tried, it'll be more worse than when it first started.

Adam would glance at me, with glare and hatred. Yeah, I get it. I glare back at him, with my arms-crossed. Adam caught my glare, yeah 2 can play that game.

"Step down, it's Abilities' turn to rule the city." Adam announced. The 2 other leaders from the Elements opened their mouths to speak back, but right away I got back.

"No." I quickly said.

"Like she said, we aren't going to let you rule the city. The Elements have ruled this city, and we are keeping it that way." Anthony spoken up.

"Oh well. Look, your elements are slowly dying. What about the Elemental Age? What about it? It has been centuries since the Elemental Age were happening. I have a feeling that the Elemental Age will happen soon. You guys know what happened to the Elemental Age, everyone burned from the Fire Elements, everyone drowned from the Water, everyone fallen from the Wind, and everyone was crushed from Earth. We cannot have another Elemental Age." Adam insisted.

"Well, we can always help them! We can train them." The leader of Elements spoken up.

"Elemental Age, all of them who are part of it; they are unpredictable. They're rebels and don't like to follow rules, like this girl." Adam pointed out, he pointed at me. I growled at him. Adam smirked, like he amused of my reaction.

5 soldiers from the Abilities side, stood up and walked over to us. I made eye contact to one of them, but looked away.

"I have a better plan." Adam announced. "These soldiers will be around, and will shoot anyone who shows sign of the Elemental Sign. Don't worry, they don't kill."

One of the soldiers glare at me, then right away, he draw him gun. I was confused of what he was going to do. Then he shot the gun. The bullet came toward me. But I was too slow, and it wounded my leg. I limped.

"It is only Elemental Age Signs?" The leader of Elements asked.

"They are programmed to scan everyone. So, they only shoot people who shows sign of the Elemental Age Sign. The first one shot." Adam glared at me. "You have to interrogate everyone in their age."I didn't like how Adam said 'their'.

I looked at my hands, my hands were turning pale.

"What -- what is happening?" I asked, as I felt a heavy weight on my shoulders.

"The bullet put a medicine in your body. The medicine is suppose to help you -- from the Elemental Age. So, it weakens your power. And your power will turn into nothing in about 10 minutes." Adam replied. My vision turned black, like I was losing blood.

I opened my eyes, and this time I was on the ground. Then, my eyes turned heavy and I passed out from the losing powers.
