Percy's POV

I sip some coffee and get out of the car once Paul parked it. I check the time, 8:00, school starts in half-an-hour. That's enough time to finish my math homework, I think.

I follow my step-father into the school wiping the sleep out of my eyes. I'm so tired that I tripped on air. I had a flashback at 6:30 am again, I woke up without Annabeth usually sound asleep beside me and started having a panic attack. PTSD sucks.

We get to Paul's classroom, he sets up his lesson and helps me with my math. He's unreasonably happy today and I have no idea why.

The bell rang and everyone filed in to their seats. I saw my friend Jesse as he took a seat beside me. "Hey man," I greet.

"Hey, guess what," he says.

"What?"

"There's a new girl. Blonde. Really hot, plus she was wearing a Goode sweater with Jackson on the back," he answers leaving me wide-eyed. How does she already know about me? I hope she doesn't ask me out like every other girl in the school, I'm already in a perfect relationship with my Wise Girl... who left me alone at 6:30 am. Probably had some family problems.

Jesse's POV

"Alright everyone," Mr. Blofis clapped his hands together getting everyone's attention. "Before we start, I'd like to introduce you to a new classmate." As if on cue, the door opened revealing the gorgeous angel on the other side.

I tapped Percy on the shoulder and whispered "Wonder if the new girl's taken." He turns around and his jaw drops.

"Miss Chase please introduce yourself to your classmates."

"Hey everyone, I'm Annabeth Chase," she said then walking over to Percy. He looks at her and gives his familiar troublemaker grin.

"You're not gonna have any chance with him honey, rejected every girl claiming he has a girlfriend," Christine said from the back row.

"As much as I hate to admit it Annabeth, she's right. He describes his girlfriend like she's a goddess," I agreed. Percy smirked at that as if it were some type of inside joke.

Annabeth's grey calculating eyes were now on Percy. "Goddess?" she asked disbelievingly.

"Close enough" Percy answered smirking. He got up from his seat and stared into her eyes.

"Miss Chase," he said bowing. Annabeth laughed at his gesture. "Nice sweater, where'd you get it Wise Girl?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

"Your closet, Seaweed Brain," she laughed.

I finally had enough and was very confused. "Perce do you happen to know each other?" I interrupted their banter.

"Pretty surprised you didn't catch on Jess. Annabeth, this is my friend Jesse. Jesse, this is Annabeth, my blonde haired, grey eyed, tall, tough, beautiful goddess-like girlfriend that to the whole school, apparently, doesn't exist," Percy introduced. My mouth went slack, to think I was going to ask her out after school.

"Nice to meet you," she smiled at me. All I could do was nod. "They never believe you do they?" she turned to Percy.

"Never."

"Alright class, now that's over, let's start the lesson," Mr. Blofis interrupted.

As the school day dragged on, I learned the Percy and Annabeth were a match made in heaven. Knowing each other and were best friends ever since you were 12. They already lived together! I learned not to mess with them because it seemed like they've already been through hell and back.
