Piper POV:

The punishment from Chiron about the party from yesterday was harsher than we all expected. But it was this or being in permanent duty of cleaning the plates after breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

As the rest of the seven and I (including Nick. He had to do it twice) approached the table of the Chaos cabin, Solis took one glance at Nick and shifted to sit protectively inbetween him and Storm.

"What are you doing here, besides dishonoring us for being so close  after the incident in the party yesterday?" Creation snarled, his voice soft. Omega shifted away from him, his wide seat allowing as much movement as possible.

Annabet stepped forward, her eyes bright with pain. "Lord Creation," She bowed respectfully, "we are here because, as punishment for our acts, we will do all you want until you and the rest of the army leave the camp. There are more than enough campers here, and we will do anything you want, as long as it is within our power.

Nick will also have to serve two of you at the same time, and you get to pick your new slaves, as well as punish them." Annabeth's voice lightened for a moment. This was her chance to get closest to Percy and convince him that he didn't love Zoë. Only her.

They sat back for a moment, their expressions blank. Then, as if coming to an agreement, Ghost stepped forward. "I will take Hazel." She motioned for the girl to follow her. Flame came next. "I will take. . . Leo." He motioned for his half-brother.

Lee stepped forward. "I will take Nicky here." His voice was scornful as he said it. Storm moved forward, her chin raised and her blue eyes shining turquoise in the light. "I will take. . . Annabeth." Her head dropped, grey eyes flat. Percy stepped forward. "No, I will take her. Constellation, would you like Frank?" She stepped forward beside Percy. "Of course, my dear." Annabeth growled lightly.

Storm shook her head. "I'll take Nicky too, then, if that's okay." Solis slid beside her. "I'll take Piper." My heart lightened before I saw the teasing glint in his eye. He didn't have any love in them, only amusement. Grapefruit picked Jason, his violet eyes shimmering.

As I walked towards Solis, he looked at me through narrowed eyes. "So you'll do whatever I tell you to?" He asked, his voice no louder than a whisper. I bowed my head, feeling my stomache start to twist into knots.

"Yes." My voice was soft, almost unaudible. "You can tell me to do anything, and I'll do it." He grinned at this. "Then come on. His voice was cheerful. "I have a task for you." He turned, golden hair bouncing behind him, as he strode out of the mess hall with me trailing behind.

Once we were out, he turned to me. "Now, I'm going to fly, so hold on to my back." He spread his wings, which glimmered like pure sunlight under the sun's glow. I went up to him and wrapped my arms until my hands touched in front of his chest.

I could feel the muscles rippling under his broad shoulders as he flexed his wings, then leaped into the air. I could see the muscles in his wings flex as he flapped them, but nothing happened. He grunted, seemingly embarrased. "Sorry. Been a long time since I flew with someone else." Running a hand through his hair, he leaped into the air again.

This time, I felt his spine curve under me, and he flapped more strongly. He lifted into the air, and started to flap more slowly, easing into the current and letting the wind guide his wings. "Where are we going?" I called over the rushing wind that swept over my ears.

Solis's head jerked around so fast he lost his balance for a moment. Once he had adjusted, he answered. "To the other side of the camp. There's something there I want to show you." His voice was strong as it carried through the howling wind that rushed into my ears.

After a while, we began to ascend, and Solis pressed the front of his wings forward, falling slowly through the wind currents as we reached a small clearing somewhere in the forest surrounding camp.

After we landed, I slid off his back, feeling the muscles in his stomache flex as he caught his breath, and his face was beaded with sweat. "I'm not as good at flying as my sister." He admitted through his harsh breathing.

I laughed as he caught his breath. "I think you are good enough." He gave me a sideways grin, as though he genuinely liked the attention. Once his breathing stabled, —more or less— he stood up straight, folding his wings up. They slid back behind his cloak without a ripple, as if they had never moved out of there in the first place.

"I'm gonna make a small bunker to live in." Solis finally whispered. He raised his hands, eyes shut closed. Suddenly, the air started to spin wildly, howling like a thousand wolves at night. Just as abruptly as it started, it ended. Where the wind had swirled now sat a polished black stone frame.

It didn't look like much, with just a simple green button in one side. It certainly wouldn't have come to mind when thinking of a resistance bunker. Solis walked up to it, brushing his hand along the smooth material.

His hand lifted as he reached the button. Hesitating, he turned to me, left eyebrow raised, questioning. I nodded, barely aware of what I was doing. He turned back to the button, deep in thought. Finally, his tan hand slid down, pressing the button ever-so-slightly. The frame lit up, and energy swirled bluish in the dappled light of the sun under the canopy.

He turned around, looking at me straight in the eye. With a bow, he gestured to the now-lit portal. "Would you do me the honors, my lady?" His voice was heavy with a horrible British accent. I giggled, stepping towards the energy that flashed inside the frame of black stone.

"Of course. But you also come!" I grabbed his arm, pulling him along with me through the portal. I heard him yelp, but I wasn't really aware of it. I was too focused on the feeling of nausea deep in my belly.

So when we arrived, I couldn't breathe. Quite literally, too. The place was amazhang. The walls were made out of teak wood, with pillars of dark spruce embedded with small dots of quartz. The ceiling was made out of aromatic cedar, and bamboo lined the walls, soaring into the ceiling and making natural support beams.

The entrance of every room and hall was topped with a crown of leaves, and the floors were made of diamond-patterns of smooth quartz and oak wood. It was too much for my mortal brain to handle. So I did the natural thing. I turned to Solis, who looked proud of himself for raising this amazing place, and said:

"This is place is amazing!"
