Creation POV:
I sat down at the couch of the Chaos Cabin, trying not to burst into laughter. The expressions on the faces of the campers had been priceless, especially Annabeth's when she realized she was wrong and her cheeks had turned the color of watermelons.
"Omega, Ghost, can you please check the borders of the camp for any gaps?" I asked. As soon as I did, though, Omega turned the color of eggplants. Before I could ask him about it, though, Zoë sat down besides me.
She seemed to realize who she was next to, blushed, and looked away as she stood up to leave the room. Before she did, though, I stood up. "Zoë, come along, please." She turned hesitantly, then followed me to the beach.
The sun was starting to set behind the ocean, making the sand glow like magma. The sea shimmered like metallic thread on a trapesty. I turned to Zoë. She seemed entranced by the view, and the reddish light made her pale eyes glow like miniature moons.
She turned to me. The light made it hard to see if the red on her cheeks were from blushing or just the setting Sun. "Zoë." I spoke her name as if it were magic. In a way, it was for me. Her eyes bore into mine. "Do you know how —no, why— I left Camp Half-Blood?" Saying the camps's real name felt like sand in my tongue, a word I hadn't used in a long time.
She slowly responded. "It was because the whole camp turned on you, wasn't it? Even that Annie girl, your ex, left you for that meinfretr." I wondered where she had been taught Old Norse. Maybe Magnus?
"Yes, Zoë, that would be correct. I brought you to this beach because..." I knelt in front of her and pulled out a small box no bigger than a Ring Pop. "Would you do me the honors of becoming engaged with me?"
For a moment, Zoë's mouth gaped like a fishs' before she closed it again in a giant smile. She launched herself towards me, burrowing her head into my chest. "Yes, yes, yes! I will!" I laughed before gently sliding the moonstone ring onto her finger.
She admired it for a moment before looking at me. "Where did you get the moonstone? It's so rare." I smirked. "Bene helped. At first she was uninterested before I promised her one wish from Chaos himself." Zoë raised an eyebrow. "Oookay..." Finally I relented. "Okay, okay, maybe a tiny little bit of blackmailing was involved." She sighed dramatically but didn't say anything.
We sat in silence for a moment, just enjoying each other's presence. Finally, I broke the silence. "Should we...should we tell the others?" I asked. Zoë turned to me, her eyes shimmering like steel in the darkening sky.
"We should, because if we don't, Chaos will, and then they'll be betting money on it." She sounded bored, like it was entirely fine with her but at the same time against her nature. I nodded, then stood up. "Shall we go, then?" I offered her my hand. She laughed as she took it.
As we walked towards the cabin, I played with her long hair.
Omega POV:
I felt my blood turn cold when the words came out of Creation's mouth. Me and Ghost? I pulled my hood up before anybody else could notice that my face had turned purple. I signaled to Ghost, who shuffled her feet nervously before coming out with me.
I pressed my hands into my pockets, trying not to fidget. Fidgeting was a hobby of mine when I was nervous. Just then, a hellhound howled in the distance. Ghost jumped, accidentally grabbing my shoulder.
When she realized what she was doing, she blushed the deepest shade of purplish-red I had ever seen. I looked at her for a moment before mumbling quietly. "Its okay, you know." As soon as I said that I mentaly kicked my self. What was I saying?!
Ghost turned away, twirling her long hair inbetween her fingers. I looked at her for amoment, and we stood there in comfortable silence. I took a deep breath, then turned to Bianca.
I knelt, pulling out a small box that was always digging into my leg in the pocket I kept it. Ghost turned to me, then gasped silently at the ring inside. It was nothing much, just amber surrounded by small chunks of gold and copper slices.
"Bianca, ever since I laid eyes on you at Chaos' Palace, I never stopped tinking about how I felt about you, so now, will you honor me by engaging along side me?" For a heartbreaking moment, Bianca said nothing. Just as my mind threatened to snap of stress, her voice grew high in a squeal.
"Yeas, yeas, yeas! I will, Omega! I accept!" She launched herself to wards me, pressing her head against my shoulder, her long hair trying to make its way into my mouth.
As we made our way towards the cabin, turnes out we weren't the only ones newly engaged. Apparently Creation had COPPIED ME and also proposed engagement to Zoë. Well, good news sure we're on our side, at least today.
Blegh, no. I REALLY despise writing romantic scenes. Well, next time I'll try not to gag every three seconds, or place a hand over my mouth trying not to puke. With that, remember to Comment and Speak Out!
