Annabeth POV:

I yawned, stretching in my bunk inside of Athena's cabin. (I don't know which one is Athena's Cabin😭) I stood up, still waking up after laying awake so long with questions about the army.

Any way, today was the meeting, where I would get to ask them all the questions I wanted! Why, you ask? Because I am the leader of the camp along with my amazang boyfriend, Nick. So they HAD to listen to me!

I got dressed quickly, putting on my CHB shirt along with jean shorts and looped my CHB necklace around my neck.

I ran outside, where Nick met me, his dark hair glinting in the sunlight. We'd been dating for over 100 years now, and he had't proposed yet. He bowed, then spoke with a fake British accent. "My Lady, are you ready to attend a Very Boring Meeting?" I giggled, hugging him.

He offered me his arm. "Shall we go now?" I took it. "Let' go." I replied cheerfully. As we made our way to the Big House, we whispered concerns about the army and how  suspiciously they were acting, as if they were hiding something.

When we arrived, Chiron greeted us at the door. "Good morning, Nick, Annabeth. The Chaos Army Soldiers are here already, and waiting for the meeting to start." He spoke warmly. I gritted my teeth at the mention of the Army.

Inside, the Chaos Army took a whole border of the Ping-Pong table. The rest of the head counselors sat on the other chairs, bored. Chiron clopped his hooves twice, and everyone sat up alert.

He began. "As we all know, Gaea and Kronos along with the rest of their brethren are rising, so we require the help of the Chaos Army. Now, if they would like to tell us a little bit about themselves..." he gestured for them to speak.

The commander stepped forward. "We are here to help you fight against this threat, though some of us have been treated unfairly here before," he grimaced, "we are under strict orders of Chaos to assure the survival of this camp." He spat out the word camp like it was a personal insult to him.

I glared at him boldly. "You have a problem?" I demanded, my voice commanding. He scowled at me ferociously, and I stiffened my spine to keep myself from cringing in fear. Nick glared at him. "Don't you dare threaten my girlfriend. She's the best person on earth." I glanced at him gratefully, and my mind suddenly recalled feeling the same way for someone else...they had sea-green eyes and wind-swept ebony hair.

I shook my head as someone spoke up from beside the commander. "We will also be assigned to each one of you campers, and will protect you. The rest of the teams from the Void Army should be here shortly." Her voice was laced with distaste and boredom.

The commander raised his hand. "Who is the leader of the camp?" Nick and I stepped forward. "We are the leaders." Nick said, his voice strong. The commander sighed, and I caught a few words of our parentage as he cursed quickly in Greek.

"Well then, I will protect both of you." His voice was heavy with regret. "Omega, you will defend Piper, Constellation, you Hazel, Beauty, you Frank, Flame, you Leo, Grapefruit, you Pollux, Storm, you Jason, Accurancy, you Will, and Ghost, you will keep Nico save."

Was it my imagination, but did Ghost flinch at the mention of Nico? Huh. I would have to keep that in mind for when I figured out who they were. Just then, a thought hit me. "Wait. But you said that every camper here at CHB would be protected, and there are only ten of you." I blurted out before I could think my response through properly.

The commander just glared at me coldly. "You think we don't know how to do math, Daughter of Athena?" He mocked me. "Of course there aren't enough of us, and we can't split down the middle, can we?" He laughed coldly. "The rest of the Void Army will be here shortly, and not to worry, we already told them we did the math." The rest of the team laughed.

"Oh." I did my best to hide the blush creeping up my cheeks. Nick put his arm around me protectively, scowling at the Commander. He waved his hand, bored, and the throne he was sitting on disappered, as well as the rest of the Armies'.

He looked at Chiron for a moment. "We will also reveal ourselves on the first night after training." His voice was hard, and I could see how much this meant to him, being in the camp.

He walked towards the exit, then hesitated. He turned around one last time, and I could've sworn I caught a glimpse of dark, sea-green eyes that shimmered with pain and frustruation. "Στρατός του Χάους, επιστροφή στην Εκπαίδευση! Και προετοιμαστείτε για τη συνάντηση με το Χάος και την Τάξη!" He ordered. (Translation: "Army of Chaos, back to Training! And prepare for the encounter with Chaos and Order!" And before you ask, no, I don't speak Greek. I speak Spanish, but I have a friend who does speak Greek.)

This is probably the shortest chapter yet, but pls don't kill me! I'm currently on the plane from Santorini, Greece, to Crete, and the Wi-Fi is THE WORST. BTW, you know the drill! Comment if you want me to add something! Storm_Prince, OUT!
