Love? (Sequel to an evil love story, a Carlos De Vil/Disney Descendants fanfic)

Chapter 4

Carlos's P.O.V.

"Something is wrong with her!" I say to Evie, Mal, and Jay.

"Agreed." Said Jay.

"Yeah." Said Mal.

"There is." Evie said.

"So what are we going to do?"

"Well first we need to find out what's wrong with her." Mal said.

"She is acting evil right?" I ask, they all nod their heads and then I continue, "Mal, when we did that spell are we sure all of your mothers magic was out of hers? Could some of Maleficent's magic still be in with hers?"

"Yes! Carlos that brilliant!" Said Mal as she ran to the pile of books and pulled the smallest one out. "What was that spell?"

"It was something like Latin class I fell asleep, so how about a translation."

"No! It was, Latin class I took a nap in, how about a floating caption." And captions pulled up on the sides of the book telling us what the page said, I turned to the right page and it said.

"To give a witch her powers back, make a pentagram in iodine, a candle at each point and  an element in four of the triangles, her magic in the fifth triangle and a few drops of blood in the candle in above the magic, the witch in the middle, and a witch with powers say the incantation."

"We did all of that, what went wrong?" I asked.

"We didn't do the spell for the air, we had water, earth, fire, and an empty bowl, we didn't say the spell that would have made air stay in the bowl." Mal said explaining what went wrong.

"Great, so let's take her magic, then do the spell again." I said as we all got up and ran to Adira's dorm.

"You have acted with no responsibility, say goodbye to your magic ability." Mal and I say in sync as Mal holds out a glass orb and Adira's magic is sucked into it. Once it's all gone she wakes up confused, then passes out, we do all the requirements for the spell, lay Adira in the middle of the pentagram and Mal makes sure to do the air spell, then we start chanting.

"Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium Sanguinatum planicium." Mal and I chant and she is lifted up off the ground again, once she drops the gush of wind comes and we stop chanting, I run over to her and she is twitching again, then she stops and just lays there with her eyes open.

"She looks dead." Said Jay.

"No this is what happened last time." I say, kinda trying to convince myself as much as him.

"She should have woken up by now..." Mal says, and I feel all the color drain out of my face.

"Carlos! Come help me!" Said Evie as she started to push on Adira's chest with her hands trying to get her heart started again, but I can't move, I am paralyzed with fear, and everything else around Adira is a blur, there is Mal and Jay yelling while looking through spell books, and Evie trying to get Adira's heart started, then Mal starts casting spells over Adira's body trying any and every spell.

"That was it, that was the last one..." Mal said after she cast the 15th spell, and none of them worked.

"There's no pulse..." Evie said checking for one.

"No! There has to be another one! There has to be a way..." I say starting to freak out, so many things are going through my mind. "This can't be happening!"

"Carlos, calm down." Said Mal trying to calm me down.

"No! Adira! Please!" I start to tell when Evie gets up and hugs me trying to calm me down, after a few minutes she pulls away and I look at Mal and plead, "please, there has to be another spell you could try..."

"I'm sorry Carlos, she's gone." Jay said speaking the words that crushed me.

"It's all my fault."

"No it's not, don't say that." Evie said to me trying to convince me it wasn't my fault.

"Yes it was! It was my fault she felt like she needed to turn evil in the first place, and now she is gone, I never even told her how I felt."

"What do you mean?"

"I never had the guts to tell her that I love her..." I said my sentence drifting off.

I looked over at them, Mal looked like she was going to cry, Evie was crying, and a single tear had leaked from Jays eye.

What am I going to do without her?
