Elaine breaks into a sprint as she heads towards the East entrance of the building like her resident had ordered, but as she nears the entrance of the building, her eyes meet with a girl lying helplessly in the middle of the crowd. Pushing through the herd of fans, Elaine tries to pull the helpless girl out but it was just useless. The mob suddenly increased dramatically and there seemed to be little to no room to move. Elaine had no choice but to start aiding the girl surrounded by the tight mass of people. Her mind could not concentrate due to the overwhelming screams and cries of the fans.

"Helpless girl." Pale skin. Tied up hair. White blouse. Tucked in. Navy blue skirt. Small name tag. Kang Jun Hee. High socks. Black shoes. High school student. Junior. Skinny. Frail. Helpless.

Elaine placed her bag of supplies down on the floor while she pushes away the numerous legs of people who apparently have not noticed that lying right next to their leg was a dying girl. Just as she scurries through her bag to find a breathing mask, the Junhee vomits out crimson blood, splattering all over Elaine's blue scrubs. The humid, salty smell of the stained blood on Elaine's scrubs only worsened the anxiety she was experiencing. Elaine's neck and palms started to sweat as she pushes on the girls chest to knock the air back into her lungs. Her hands and legs are covered with blood as the girl continues to vomit and suddenly her eyes rolled to the back of her skull. Without knowing, painful tears roll down her cheeks as Elaine scream at the fans to please back up. She felt tense as her muscles tighten and the air becomes thick and hot. A cry of despair slipped out of Elaine's mouth because for some reason the girl won't wake up and everything seemed to have failed.

--------Elaine's POV

Is this the end? Is this how my first day of the job will become? The first patient I've ever had in my life is going to die in my hands. How can a doctor help a patient breathe when she can barely do it herself in this situation? Am I just a useless doctor who couldn't even save a trampled girl because I was so overwhelmed by my surroundings. No,  I have to get it together. Breathe Elaine, Breath.

------------- 3rd Person POV

Trickles of sweat continues to slide down Elaine's forehead as it mixes with the vomited blood. Shock circulated through every vein in Elaine's body causing her to tremble in fear. Time began to slow down and the distracting sounds were muffled. Her only thoughts were to save the dying girl. Her hair that was once tied up neatly in a ponytail was now all over her sweaty face and her clean gloves were now stained with blood. One, two, three, four, Elaine counts continuously in her head as she relentlessly resuscitates the helpless girl. There seemed to be no progress in her condition for the dying Junhee's bruised body couldn't survive the excessive trampling that had occurred. Slowly the crowd thins out as everyone surrounding Elaine started to witness what had happened while they were trying so hard to get a hold of their idols. An atrocious death of a teenager. There was no justifiable explanation to her death. Yes, Junhee was trampled, but for what reason? Is it acceptable to say that she died because some girls wanted to see the love of their life? The love that will never notice them? The truth was so clear. This horrible addiction that has dominated the minds of young teenage girls was not drugs nor is it alcohol. It's silly, but we have to admit that yes, they're addicted to BOYS. And in that obsession they've unknowingly killed a life. A life that would never be able to proper like theirs. Its unsettling truth is sickening. A bubble of people were now watching the scene that almost looked like an re-enactment of a Korean Drama.

Bzzz Bzzz. Bzzz

Elaine's pager vibrated constantly, but she couldn't just stop in this kind of emergency to waste her time by looking at a pager. Currently, that was not important; the life of this helpless girl was most important at this moment and Elaine wanted to do anything in her ability to save her. The pager kept on buzzing but Elaine only ignored it.
