When I arrived, I found Kiel's group battling the zombies. Some of his companions were already dead—their entrails scattered across the ground. Others, despite their bites and wounds, continued to fight. I immediately saw Kiel surrounded by the creatures, so I jumped in to help, beheading the zombies one by one. I reached out my hand to lift Kiel up, but he pulled me down and stabbed a zombie that nearly bit me.
His weapon only struck the creature's stomach, so it didn't die instantly. The zombie lunged again at Kiel, and even though he kept stabbing it with his blade, it showed no weakness or fear. So I drew my samurai sword and mercilessly severed its head. I couldn't help but smile slightly as I watched Kiel, drenched in blood—his skin almost unrecognizable. Then I ran to help the others, as we began fighting their former comrades who had now fully turned into zombies.
As the sun rose, more creatures appeared. So we decided to evacuate to what we called Zone 314—a towering building we believed they couldn't climb.
When we reached the top, we froze. A horde was already waiting for us. I immediately signaled everyone to stop and listened closely. I knew they could smell us, and they were growing restless.
"What do we do now? There's only ten of us—we can't take them all!"
I just looked at him and charged forward. I didn't care what might happen—whether I lived or died, what mattered was that I wouldn't give up fighting them. I wasn't afraid; if this was the end for me, so be it. My companions followed, though I knew some were hesitant. I never forced anyone, so if someone got hurt or bitten, it wasn't my fault. By my count, over fifty zombies were waiting for us on the rooftop.
As the battle intensified, we gradually wiped out the creatures—until a massive explosion changed everything. The blast knocked us down, scattering our weapons. My hearing went dark, and the world spun from dizziness. I saw the zombies approaching one by one, grabbing and devouring my companions.
I rushed to the edge to see who had caused the explosion from below—and there I saw a woman holding a bazooka.
We locked eyes, but there was no trace of mercy in her gaze—she looked like a gentle lamb, but inside, she was a wolf. I noticed her giving orders to her team, so I quickly returned to my crouched position.
Still catching my breath, I looked back at my companions—they could do nothing but scream as the creatures tore their bodies apart. Smoke filled the air from the explosion, and darkness swallowed my vision. Stammering, I searched for my weapon, and finally spotted it not far away. I grabbed it, planted it into the ground, and forced myself to stand—though my knees were still trembling...
I WILL KILL YOU ALL!
Two zombies immediately charged at me, ready to bite. I barely dodged them—their movements were lightning-fast, making it nearly impossible to counterattack. Though I was dizzy, that wasn't a reason to give up. Even weakened, I had to save whoever was left.
I first targeted the fat woman—her intestines already spilling out—and sliced her in half. But she kept crawling toward me, even without legs. I stabbed her head with my samurai sword, and only then did she finally stop.
The second was a tall male zombie, his flesh rotting and nearly skinless. Unexpectedly, he dodged my attacks with shocking agility—in all thirteen battles I'd fought, I'd never faced one this fast. He struck my arm, sending my weapon flying.
I stared at him, stunned, as he charged again. I dodged and tried to reach for my sword, but he shoved me down. He was desperate to bite my neck. I screamed as I fought back, twisting my body to keep his mouth away from my throat, while blindly reaching for my weapon behind my head.
