'We are often let down by the most trusted people and loved by the most unexpected ones. Some make us cry for things that we haven't done, while others ignore our faults and just see our smile. Some leave us when we need them the most, while some stay with us even when ask them to leave. The world is a mixture of people. We just need to know which hand to shake and which hand to hold! After all that's life, learning to hold on and learning to let go.'

Ramiel sat in his office, staring blankly at the wall as his mind wandered back to the art gallery. He couldn't shake off the memory of Harmony, the captivating lady with a sparkle in her eyes.He replayed the evening in his head, wondering what would have happened if his cousin Nia hadn't interrupted him. She must think he's a playboy, he thought, feeling a pang of regret. His gaze fell upon the paintings he had purchased from the gallery. He bought them not just for their emotional resonance but also because she seemed to appreciate them. It was a way for him to hold onto the connection, however small.

As he sat there, his thoughts drifted to his past. His love life had been a chaotic mess, with women drawn to him for his wealth and fame rather than who he truly was.

One particular story from his childhood stood out - the rumor about his mother confronting a girl who had scammed him into believing she loved him. That girl had been his first love, and the experience had left a lasting impact.

After that he had to live with the fear that  history would repeat itself if he were to be found in a relationship like scenario. Would the girl see him for who he was, or would she be blinded by his status? That uncertainty gnawed at him.

For the first time in his life, he yearned for someone to see beyond his facade and connect with him genuinely. He wondered if he could ever meet such a person. Yet deep down he hoped she was that person.

His mind continued  to wander back to the night he had planned to propose to his girlfriend, Skylar. He had envisioned a romantic dinner, a secluded restaurant, and a heartfelt speech.

As he got down on one knee, Skylar's  expression changed from surprise to panic. "Ramiel, I need to tell you something," she said, her voice trembling.

Her words cut through the air like a knife. "I've been using you for your money and connections. I'm sorry."  Hearing that, he felt like he'd been punched in the gut.

It was In that moment, he realized he'd been blinded by love. Skylar's true colors were revealed, and he was left shattered.

The experience had left him wary of relationships. He wondered if he would ever find someone genuine.

His family dynamics were complex. His parent's marriage was tumultuous, with his father's infidelities and his mother's fiery temper. He learned to navigate these challenges but they took a toll on his emotional well being.

His own romantic relationships were fleeting and often drama filled. With him attracting women who were interested in his status. He carried emotional scars from his past experiences. He always struggled  with trust issues and felt like he was always wearing a mask to hide his true self. Hence he yearned for authenticity and genuine connections.

He remembered how he  sat in his father's study soon after the break up, his brother beside him. The atmosphere was somber, reflecting his emotional state.

His father, looked at him with concern. "Son, what's going on? You've been distant lately."

Ramiel shared his story, how the break up affected him, his voice laced with pain. His father and brother listened intently, offering words of comfort and advice.

As the conversation progressed, he felt a sense of resolve forming within him. "I'm done with relationships," he declared, his voice firm. "I don't want to get hurt again."

His father looked at him with a mix of understanding and warning. "Boy, relationships are a risk, but they're also worth it. Don't let one bad experience define you."

His brother chimed in, "Ram, you're young, and you've got time. Focus on yourself for now. Relationships will come when the time is right."

He nodded, but deep down, he felt a sense of finality. "I'm swearing off relationships for now. I need to focus on myself."

After the conversation, he still felt lost and disillusioned. He began to question his values and priorities, realizing that he had been living his life according to others' expectations.

Which made him to  introspect, analyzing his relationships and behaviors. He recognized patterns of people-pleasing and seeking validation from others.

As he worked on himself, he started to develop a stronger sense of identity. He pursued his passions, reconnected with old friends, and explored new interests.

Ramiel slowly began to heal from the emotional wounds of his past. He learned to forgive himself and others, and he developed a greater sense of empathy and compassion.

His newfound self-awareness gave him a fresh perspective on life. He started to see people and relationships in a different light, valuing authenticity and depth.

With his personal growth,  Ramiel felt a renewed sense of purpose. He was more confident, resilient, and open to new experiences.

Ramiel threw himself into his work and hobbies, determined to rediscover himself. He traveled, learned new skills, and reconnected with old friends.

Through journaling and meditation, he gained insight into his thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. He identified patterns and areas for improvement.

And as he worked on himself, he noticed significant changes. He became more confident, resilient, and empathetic. His relationships with others improved, and he felt more grounded.

He went on and discovered new passions, such as painting and volunteering. These activities brought him joy and a sense of purpose.

With his newfound self-awareness, he felt a renewed sense of purpose. He was excited to see what the future held.

Although he had sworn off relationships, his heart remained open. He was willing to explore new connections, but on his own terms.

Then, he met her. She was different - talented, kind, and unpretentious. Though it was for a short moment he  felt a spark of hope, wondering if he might finally find what he'd been searching for.

He just couldn't shake off the feeling that he had seen her before. He remembered a wedding 10 years ago his sister's per say, where he had spotted a captivating waitress from across the room.

Fate had brought them together again, and he felt a sense of unfinished business. He wondered if this was a second chance.

He was intrigued by her  beauty, talent, and kindness. He found himself thinking about her constantly. He couldn't stop wondering what would've happened if on those two encounters, he would have talked to her. Would their lives have interested in a meaningful way?

He questioned his feelings  was it love at first sight or just a crush? He wasn't sure, but he couldn't deny the connection he felt.

His hope was  to get to know her better, to see if their connection was more than just a spark. Wait did she feel the same for him or what?

And Just like 10 years ago, Ramiel felt like he was running out of time. Would he ever  get the chance to talk to Harmony, or would fate play a cruel trick on him again?
