Still in the airport.

Sam's holding her like he never wants to put her down.
Her legs are wrapped around his waist.
Her head is tucked under his chin.
And his hands — gripping tight but gentle — like he still doesn't fully believe she's real.

And then she pulls back just enough to look him in the eye.

Her green eyes.
His blue ones.

And yeah — she's got that little smile.
That "I told you I was coming" smile.
That "you're safe now" smile.

And Sam?

He breaks.

He doesn't ask.
He doesn't hesitate.
He just leans in and kisses her — fully.
Right there.
In the middle of LAX.
With strangers walking past and luggage rolling and announcements blaring over the speakers.

But he doesn't hear any of it.

Because all he can hear is her small gasp —
followed by her lips meeting his like she'd been waiting her whole life to do it.

One hand slides up into her hair.
She clutches the back of his hoodie.
And for a moment, time just melts around them.

The boys are still watching.

Chris:
"Oh my god."

Nick:
"Bro, I feel like I need to clap or throw rice or something—"

Colby just crosses his arms, grinning like a proud fucking father.

He watches Sam kiss her like he means it.
Like he's not scared anymore.
Like the world could fall apart around him and it wouldn't matter because he's holding the one thing that's real.

And then Colby just mutters, half-laughing, half emotional:

"Hell yeah, my boy finally got a girl who's worth him."

Matt (wiping his eye dramatically):
"I feel like I just witnessed the climax of an A24 coming-of-age movie."

Nick:
"If this was a Wattpad book, we're at the highlighted quote moment right now."

And Sam pulls back slowly.

Breathless.
Smiling.
Forehead pressed to hers.

He whispers, so only she can hear:

"Told you I'd be waiting."

And she just says back:

"Told you I was coming."
