Chapter 7:Do or Die

Kai's POV
*I was sitting in the car outside of Terri and Gabe's house crying my eyes out. I'm just tired of everything. Every time I move one step forward I move backwards three steps. I wiped my tears and got MJ out of the car. Then we walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. A few seconds later Terri came to the door. She welcomed me in and we sat down in the living room.*

Terri- so Kai what brings you by today and why were you crying?
Me- me and Mike got into it and he hit me

Me- well it was about Evan

Me- well I wanted some closure and that's what I got. I didn't know that he was gonna kiss me
Her- I believe you but what are you going to do?
Me- tbh I don't even know I love Mike but the way that he's been acting lately has me wondering do I really want to marry him. Matter of fact I threw his ring back at him. He doesn't even trust me
Her- well I don't know what to really say right now but I do know that you need some time to yourself so why don't you let me keep MJ for the night and you go and have some time for yourself?
Me- ok I'll do that thanks girl but are you sure you want to keep MJ?
Her- yeah I'll keep my godson plus it will be good practice for when I have kids

*I left MJ with Terri and I went to the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta. I bought me a room for one night and relaxed the whole time while I was there. First I went to the spa and got a full body massage. Then I went back to my room and took a hot bath while eating chocolate covered strawberries and having a glass of red wine to calm me down. This is just what I needed some time to myself and relaxation. After my nice hot bath I put on my silk robe then I went and laid down in my queen sized bed.
~The next day~
*I woke up feeling refreshed. I checked my phone for any missed calls or texts. The only missed calls I had were from Mike. I'm not talking to him right now. After I checked my phone I ordered some breakfast from room service. Once I ate I called Terri and checked on MJ.*

Terri's POV
*After I got off the phone with Kai I headed downstairs and started making breakfast. I made some French toast along with some sausage and eggs. Once I was done cooking Gabe came downstairs in his suit and tie and snuck up behind me and kissed me on my neck. I turned around and kissed him. Then I got a whiff of his axe cologne and instantly felt sick to my stomach. I ran to the bathroom and emptied all of the contents of my stomach. I felt Gabe pull my hair back and he rubbed my back to soothe me. After I finished throwing up I rinsed my mouth out and went back to the kitchen. Gabe followed me.*

Gabe- babe I'm going to take the day off from work

Him- because I'm taking you to the doctors so you can get checked out
Me- I don't need to go to the doctors I'm fine

*He called his boss and told him that he wasn't coming in today because of family matters. While he took the day off I went to the guest bedroom and got MJ up and got him dressed. I put him on a red Jordan onesie with the footie socks. After I got him dressed I went into my room and put on some clothes. I matched lil MJ with a red Jordan t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and my fire red Jordan 4s. Gabe just kept on his suit. Gabe decided to drive so we got into his BMW 750i and headed towards the doctors office. We got to her office and I signed in. A few minutes later my name was called and we went in the back. The doctor came back there and examined me.*

Dr. Smith(DS)-hi mrs Cruz what can I do for you today?
Me- well can you give me a pregnancy test?

*She hands me the cup and I go to the bathroom and pee in it. After I peed in the cup I took it to dr smith and she went and got it tested. She came back a few minutes later with the results.*
DS- congratulations you're pregnant again?

DS- well here's a prescription for some prenatal vitamins and I'll see you in a couple weeks for your check up

*We left the doctors office and went back home. When we got back home my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID. It said Mrs. Jackson. Oh that's Kai's mom let me see what she wants.*

Angela(Kai's mom)- hey Terri have you talked to Kai or Mike recently?
Me- yeah I talked to Kai earlier is something wrong?
Her- no everything's ok I just need to talk to Kai matter of fact next time you talk to her just tell her to come see me

*She hangs up and then I called Kai. She didn't answer so I decided to text her.*

Kai's POV
*After I talked to Terri I went to my parents house. I opened the door and went inside. I saw my parents in the kitchen. My dad was reading the paper and mom was drinking some coffee.*

Her- I'm well but your father and i have something that we need to tell you

*She went to her room and I followed her. I sat down on the bed and began telling her everything.*

*I hug my mom and kissed her on the cheek. Now i can always count on my mom to give me some good advice. She told me just what I needed to hear. I left my parents house and went to Terri's house so I could pick up MJ. I knocked on the door and Gabe came to the door. He welcomed me in.*

*After Kai left I couldn't even think straight. I messed up this time. I really need her to come back home but first I need to get some answers and I know just who to go to my stepbrother Evan. I called him and he didn't answer so I texted him.*
