"You actually sound like a lunatic right now, who actually says that they're actually a demon, who is trying to marry you?"
"That's what I said!"
"So this contract.."
"W- what should I do?" I stammer. "It's for real, I swear!"
"Well, if it's for real." She stops talking for a moment of silence. Too long, making a feeling of discomfort growing in me. "I don't know baby. Eat some dinner, drink wine to relax yourself and get some sleep- I'll see you tomorrow..." She yawns --- and I have a bad feeling that she's going to hang up on me.
"What?! Don't hang up on me-" And then the line disconnected. She just left me hanging to die alone in my apartment.
My heart starts to panic, beating so fast it's pounding inside my eardrums. I head straight to the fridge and grab the closest tub of ice cream that I see with a mere sight.
Oh, it's matcha with its chocolate crumbled pieces! Great, my fucking favorite.
"Ugh." My life is a disaster. Everything is. Except for the ice cream. I head to the living room and turned on the television to gobble it down.
Just gobble it, gobble it gobble it. Don't think about anything else.
I stare down frozen as I forgot to grab the most important utensil. Oh my fucking god I forgot to grab a spoon.
As soon as I return from the kitchen, I open the lid and crush the life of the chocolate covers. It's brand new. I just bought it the other day and it's going to be gone soon.... just like me.. I take a big scoop and shove it until I feel nothing else but coldness all over-- inside my mouth with sugary cream.
This is probably going to be finished in a matter of minutes..
Well, it doesn't matter because I'm starting to regret that I signed that damn paper. I shouldn't have. I really should leave my apartment right now.. Ugh-- why did I tell Ereina that she shouldn't come here?
And in no time the tub was empty and I'm left with a slobbery mess with no tissue. I groan in agony. I'm so going to get kidnapped. Well, yeah, but I did sign the papers.. but it's not like I cancel it!
I decide it's time to sleep and wear off my nerves. I get under the covers and close my eyes, trying to dream something sweet and magical. And the image of the porcelain-skinned man floats inside my brain.
His too white of a skin creeps me out.
I can only feel the moonlight burn my eyeballs as I'm facing the moonlit window. I forgot to close the curtains. I turn and face the other way. Now it's my door.
I try to calm myself, close my eyes, trying to drift away into a deep sleep.
Magnum Ruby tubs..
***
I feel something tingling my left thigh..
"Happy birthday Berlin..."
Someone whispers against my ear.
It sounds like a man's voice..
Oh my god it's the guy from yesterday! My eyes jolt and bulge open so quickly my eyeballs hurt.
I look up to the the man, clad in all black like the other day. He looks white as a corpse -- he looks pretty much that same the same as he stares down at me with the moonlight shining on him, his eyes seem a bit darker of an amber now. Oh my fucking god is it glowing?
"You know it's my birthday?" I croak out.
"Yes, I know it's your birthday, everyone gets taken on their birthdays."
That is so fucking twisted I actually feel like running away.
"What?" I croak in agony.
"Oh, you don't know do you?"
"What do you mean 'taken on their birthdays?'"
He lets out a low chuckle, his Adam's apple bobbing, "A human girl runs away to be married to someone from the ancient realm. I'm supposed to tell you later, but... here we are.."
"What do you mean?" I prod.
"You're on the list, if you didn't know. And once you come home with me nobody will remember you. You're erased from here."
"What?!" I almost screamed. But my voice is loud enough I'm sure.
He's insane..!
"Oh hush." He rolls his eyes at the ceiling lightly. "I'm sure you've never heard of this before, but once you've given me your signature you're practically ready to leave."
"And- and the red moon? It hasn't turned red yet."
"We'll just have to wait. The moon represents your color. You're September, so your color would be a Sapphire. And considering you're a bit stubborn, it turns wine-red, get it?" He eyes at me. "Ugh, why do I have to get a stubborn wife?" He says like he's actually harassing me with his whining.
I am stunned by his words in silence. "I'm sorry, stubborn...w-wife?"
He hummed, seeming and sounding pleased at the same time. He's really happy right now and it's clawing into my clean, pure, tormented soul.
"Yes. You're going to be my bride, remember?"
"Of course I remember." I mutter as I sit up slowly. I'm going to miss my bed really bad..
"So are you ready to go?" He smiles down at me, still hovering me with that tall body that he owns.
"Well, I have packed my bags. Wait, how did you come in here?"
"I have a lock opener."
"You are kidding."
"No. I got it from the elders. They always have a knack for something cracked like that."
I sighed, getting up. I don't care who the elders are. "So my dad practically sold me off?" I get off the bed and saunter the corner to grab two heavy bags of mine. One is smaller while the other one a little heavy. "Should we go?"
"Yes. Give me that." He grabs the heaviest one and walks straight to the window with haste as his long and black dress drags across the floor, his back mocking me with its black, demonic intimidation.
Get it? Demonic?
