First of all, you don't have to wait to find out what happens next — the next few chapters of Book Two are already up!
✨ After All This Time ✨
Now, there are a few reasons I chose to end it this way, but here are the top two:
1. Blake might look like she has it all together, but in truth, she still needs time. In this book, she could be an amazing communicator one moment, and completely lost in her own head the next. She's a beautiful, complicated person with so much love to give — but she's also flawed, haunted, and still figuring herself out. I just felt that all her complexity couldn't be wrapped up neatly in one book. We'll see her again in the next one, and trust me, she'll be bigger, bolder, and yes... even hotter.
2. Alison needs to grow. She needs to experience life, make mistakes, and become the incredible woman she's meant to be. Life is wild — messy, beautiful, terrifying, and amazing all at once. You can't control what happens, but you can choose how you face it. And in the next book, Alison, in my opinion, becomes the absolute baddest bitch of them all.
So please... don't be mad.
I started writing this story a long time ago, and finishing it has been one of the most therapeutic things I've ever done.
