(Chapter 1) What are you Doing Here?

"Bakugo, quit pulling his hair like that!"

You yelled with the small might your meek, teen voice could muster, watching your boyfriend Bakugo yank defenseless Izuku by his green hair. This wasn't anything new, Bakugo torturing his former childhood best friend to no end. Ever since getting to middle school though it only got worse. Teasing and nudging turned into shoving and spitting and the worst cases led to Izuku becoming Bakugo's favorite punching bag (but replace punches with his quirk instead).

"Eh? Am I catching you trying to interrupt? The hell are you even doing here?" Bakugo says with a low, irritated tone, his harsh red eyes glaring at you as he keeps his hand fisted in Izuku's hair. You take a small nervous step back, finding his gaze to be sharper than knives.

"You just shouldn't be so rough, you'll hurt him," you respond, your voice shaking just like your hands were. Bakugo narrowed his eyes, letting go of Izuku's hair to start stalking up on you. The shadows of the school building beside you cast over you, hiding you three from the sun and the attention of any bystanders like students or teachers. Not that any of them would dare step in, no one liked getting on Bakugo's bad side. You continue to back up in fear, your heart beating heavy in your chest as it realizes just how foolish your sad attempt at bravery was.

As you continued moving back, Bakugo quickly walked up until he stood directly in front of you, your back now in contact with the cement wall behind you. His eyes were cruel, uncaring as he looked down at you, his right hand twitching at his side. "Hurt him? Would you rather take his place?" Bakugo says in a low, threatening tone, his face leaning in close. You feel your lips tighten, not a single word even forming in your throat. He sees your hesitation, his eye twitching in annoyance as he quickly reaches up and grabs a handful of your hair, "HUH?! ANSWER ME!!"

You wince and shut your eyes as he grabs your hair, the tinge of pain making tears start to prick in your eyes. "K-kacchan leave them alone!" Izuku speaks up, now worried that Bakugo's aggression has switched onto you as he stands up from his crouching on the ground.

"You stay the hell out of this Deku!!" Bakugo snaps, not letting his eyes leave your face. You keep your eyes shut, too scared to look at him so that he might see the pain and fear in your eyes. You couldn't let him see just how pitiful you truly were, pitiful and powerless.

"Look at me," he says in a low command. You don't want to, anything but that, but you do it anyway. You slowly open your eyes, your tears not yet falling from your pathetic, scared look. His eyes held nothing but cold anger as he kept his close distance from you. "Don't ever forget, you're NOTHING without me. Without me, you're weak, helpless, pointless, you got that? Don't ever think anything you say means ANYTHING to me!"

"Katsuki..." you whimper, your already fragile heart shattering at the stitched seems.

"Don't call me that," he says coldly, his fist in your hair gripping tighter for a few seconds before letting go completely. You stay leaning against the wall, your head down as you do your best not to cry too loudly. You rub the sore spot on your head, a dull pain compared to the cracks in your self-worth. Bakugo watches you for a moment before scoffing and walking off, "whatever. You two aren't worth my time. I got training to do for the UA entrance exams and I don't need you two weaklings slowing me down."

Bakugo walks off, hands in his uniform pockets. Izuku watches him, a tense, defeated look on his face before he turns his attention to you, walking up to you with a worried tone, "y/n..."

You turn your head away, too ashamed and emotional right now to look at him, "leave me alone. I'm....I'm fine."

Izuku retracts his extended hand, watching you with concern. "You...you don't have to put up with this, y/n. He shouldn't treat you like that, especially not if you're dating-"
