Kai's POV

5 years later

I pulled my knees up to my chest watching as Luca chased Luce around the garden, pretending to be slower than he is so that he wouldn't catch her.

"Look how happy they are." My mate said as he sat down behind me with his legs around me.

"I know, I can't believe Luca is 10 tomorrow."

"And you'll be 28 soon as well." Seth mocked.

"Excuse me, you are already 28."

"Yeah, but you look like a teenager still, whereas I don't."

"Aww, I still love you even if though you look old."

"I don't look old." Seth tickled my sides.

"Yes you do." I laughed. "St-op."

"Nope, not until you tell me I don't look old." He laughed tickling me more.

"No." I gasped through my laughter.

He tickled me more.

"Are you sure."

"Fine, you don't look a day over 23." I told him.

Truthfully he doesn't, he looks like he's only a few years out of high school, not ten.

"Aww thank you." He pecked me on the lips. "Do you want to go for a run later?"

"Yeah." I breathed trying to catch my breath from sighing so much.

"Good, I need to relax, all this wedding planning is stressing me out." He huffed.

"Aww, how do you think I feel, Kasy and Thea want me to wear a dress. Hell to the no."

"You in a dress." He laughed.

"Ugh, shut up."

"Daddy, when are we having dinner?" Luca questioned.

"Soon, when the delivery person brings it." I told him.

"What are we having?"

"Pizza." I replied to him.

"PIZZA!" Luce screamed.

"Yeah, and then we can maybe have one of those cupcakes that your aunt Thea made for us." Seth said referring to the box sitting in the kitchen with 4 Oreo cupcakes in it.

"Yay, she should be a baker, she is really good at baking." Luca told me.

"I know, I told her that but she wouldn't listen to me."

"Daddy, see tomorrow can the four of us go somewhere together as a family for my birthday. We can see the family after." He quickly added in.

"Sure we can, it's your birthday. What do you want to do?" Seth asked him.

"Can we go to a park for a picnic and then I can play with Luce."

"Of course you can." I told him.

"What food do you want."

"I want sandwiches with chicken on them, oh and Oreo's and strawberries and juice and gummy bears." He said.

"Okay, we'll get that for you." Seth told him as the doorbell rang.

"FOOD." Luce screamed running towards the door.

"Clam down, we need to get mo EU to pay." I told her laughing.

I opened the door to see Jason.

"Hi." He muttered.
