Beomgyu didn't go to lunch.

He couldn't go to lunch.

Because if he sat across from Soobin, or beside Sunoo, or near anyone with a working mouth, they'd all say the same thing.

"Yeonjun saw the FLAMES page."

Just thinking about it made him want to dig a hole in the school garden and live there with the ants.

Unfortunately, Soobin found him anyway. Dragged him by the arm straight to the cafeteria.

"You're not getting away from this, Romeo."

"I'm not Romeo. I'm the corpse at the end of the story."

Soobin howled.

And it only got worse when the rest of the gang joined in.

Giselle slapped the table. "Okay, okay, so he actually read the notebook?"

"He quoted the FLAMES result," Beomgyu said, face planted into his tray of rice.

"Oh my god!" Sunoo gasped. "The S??"

"The S," Soobin confirmed proudly, like he was accepting an Oscar on Beomgyu's behalf.

"Wait," Giselle leaned forward, grinning. "What does S stand for again?"

Beomgyu didn't answer.

Sunoo helpfully whispered, "It was Sex."

Everyone burst out laughing.

"I hate all of you," Beomgyu mumbled into his spoon.

"No you don't," Soobin smirked. "You're just embarrassed your future husband saw your delulu diary."

"It's not delulu! It's just, fiction!"

"You literally wrote Beomgyu + Yeonjun = Beomjun, Together and Forever."

Beomgyu shrieked.

"WHY ARE YOU EVEN SAYING IT AGAIN, AND YOU'RE LITERALLY THE ONE WHO WROTE THOSEE—"

Before anyone could respond, a voice cut through the noise.

"Hey guys."

They all froze.

Yeonjun.

Standing behind Beomgyu. Again.

This was starting to feel like a divine punishment.

"Oh hey, Yeonjun!" Sunoo said way too cheerily.

Beomgyu considered pretending to faint.

Yeonjun looked at the group, then slowly at Beomgyu. whose soul had already left his body and was halfway to Mars.

"I just wanted to return this," he said, pulling out something from his bag.

It was Beomgyu's notebook.

The one.

The one.

Yeonjun smiled. "I figured you'd want it back."

Beomgyu stared at it like it was a bomb.

"Thanks," he whispered, hands trembling as he took it.

Yeonjun didn't leave.

He leaned in just a little, voice soft, teasing: "By the way, Beomjun has a nice ring to it."

Giselle choked. Sunoo made a squealing dolphin noise. Soobin screamed "OH MY GOD" into a tissue.

Yeonjun winked and left again, like nothing happened.

Like he didn't just publicly flirt with the boy who was one mental breakdown away from being hospitalized.

Beomgyu turned to his friends in horror.

They stared back at him like he was the lead in a drama series they were bingeing.

"Beomgyu," Giselle whispered. "I think you're in a fanfic."

Soobin nodded slowly. "And I think... you're the main character."
