I have always been a holpless romantic and someday hoped to be in a relalationship. But I sure never pictured myself dating a faxing Hawthorne!! Xander Hawthorne, youngest of 4 Hawthorne brothers, prankster, tech obsessed, blueberry scone lover seems to be the one my heart longs for. We have been dating for 2 years now and today is our anniverary! Xander told me to meet him in the fields behind Hawthorne House. (A.N. Are there fields behind the mansion? I don't know, I made it up, sorry!)

I take one last look in my mirror before leaving. My dress is cute, white, blue and floral. The square neckline highlights my collarbones and shows off the gold locket that Xander bought me for our 1st anniversary. My hair is pulled back with a sky coloured claw clip. I hope this is what Xander meant by cute but simple.

I meet Xander in the fields, he is sitting under a tree on a picnic blanket with a nervous look on his face. His shirt is untucked and his hair is messy. He couldn't look more perfect. 

I grin when I see him.

"Xander!" I call to him.His head turns in my direction and he breaks into a smile when his eyes land on mine. Soon he is up off the blanket and running to hug me. "Maxie! I missed you!" he exclaims.

"Xan, you saw me yesterday!"

"My point exactly! I havent seen you in a whole day!" I chuckle.

We both sit down on the mat and start talking about anything and everything, That's one of the things I love about the time I spend with Xander Blackwood Hawthorne. We can talk about absolute nonesense and still have a great time. "...............and then he procceded to jump off the roof!" Xander is telling me about all the trouble him and his brothers got into when they were younger. "What?!"

"I know right!"

"Your family sure never has a dull moment!" we both fall back onto the mat, laughing.  I roll over so we are facing eachother, and I give him a smile. He smiles back. A beautiful smile, it's goofy and lopsided and so 'Xander'.

"I miss this, Xan. Talking about everything and nothing. The endless laughter from our stories. Promise me they wont stop, our moments like this?" I whisper to him.

"Maxine Lui. I love you so much, I love every moment, every smile, every memory I share with you. I promise these moments will never go away."

"Love you more, Xan."

"No. You don't."

"Doubt that." 

We both laugh again. 

I lean over to kiss him. He is so perfect, but not his brother's version of perfect, not his grandfather's version of perfect, not his mother's versions of perfect. No. Our perfect. I-he-us-he-we found love in eachother, for eachother, and I couldn't ask for someone more amazing. 

"Max?" he asks.

"Yes?"

"Would you like a blueberry scone?"
