"Some memories don't fade........ they multiply."
Nyra jolted awake, drenched in sweat, the ticking of the Archive's antique clock echoing in her skull like a gunshot.
April 2. Again.
Her fingers trembled as she stared at her palms. The same crawl from yesterday........or was it today?
April 2.
Remember Elira. Do not trust the mirrors.
She had written that. But she doesn't remember writing that.
The room felt different. Slighlty warmer. The books on the shelf - rearranged. A red file labeled " LOOP B " had replaced the " Subject Zero". She pulled it open.
Inside:- A photograph of Elira, laughing.- A medical from a name Elira Raghavan as subject one.- A note scribbled in frantic, messy ink:
" You are not Nyra. Elira never died. Stop the loop before it becomes you."
Nyra stagged back, heartbeat in her throat.
Why was she seeing Elira's smile everywhere now? Why did Allen's voice echoed when she closed her eyes - soft, gentle like he used to talk to elira - not her?
Was she slipping?
Or waking up?
Later, in the hallway, a mirror cracked as she passed. From the shards, Elira's face stared back at
her.
Not angry.
But vengeful.
But alive.
The loop had reset again.
But this time, it was not just memories repeating - it was identites.
