Part 2: Chapter 12

Y/N's POV

I was in my room later that day. I kept thinking back to the kiss Rindou and I shared. When we were done kissing I didn't say anything. Neither did he. We both kind of just stared at each other silently. He took me home, and that was it.

I wasn't sure what to make of the kiss. One thing was for sure. I hadn't been able to resist it. That had been settled the moment I gave in to Rindou's touch. Just thinking back on how his lips felt on mine made my heart flutter.

I turned around in my bed. Glancing at the clock seeing that it was 1 a.m. I let out a sigh. Just wanting to be able to fall asleep and give my mind some rest from overthinking. I turned over towards the window next to my bed. The moonlight seeping through the thin pastel pink curtains.

The sound of the vibration of my cellphone on the nightstand breaking the silence for a second. I sat up and reached over my bed. Seeing a text from an unregistered number.

Hey it's Rindou

I frowned a bit wondering how he got my number. Then I figured he probably asked Kakucho for it. Staring at the text, I hesitated to respond. A part of me wanted to but another didn't. Deciding not to respond, I placed my cellphone back on the nightstand. Laying down just wanting to sleep.

Morning came. Deciding to get up and make my way to the kitchen for some breakfast. Even if it was the weekend, I still woke up early. My mom sat at the dining table drinking coffee, reading one of her fashion magazines.

"Good morning, mom" I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek. "Morning sweetheart", she replied as she kept her eyes on the magazine. "Trying to get new inspiration?" I asked looking down at the page she was currently on. "Yeah", she sighed, "Mrs. Kimura wants ideas on the new clothing line she wants to create."

"Well, I'm sure you'll come up with something stunning. You always do." I smiled at her as she touched my hand on her shoulder. "Thanks hun", she looked at me. Scanning the kitchen I decided to settle on some toast with coffee. "Did you thank Rindou for me for returning the Tupperware?", my mom called to me from the dining table.

"Yeah", I walked back to join her. "Still don't know why you had to have him drop it off at my school." She flipped the page, "Well I wasn't going to be home until late." She began, "Your school was nearby also, so I asked him to leave it with you." She glanced up at me and returned her attention back to the magazine. I hummed in response.

As I sipped some of my coffee I decided to ask my mom about dads friend, Mr. Haitani. I wondered if she knew anything that dad might have mentioned to her about his friend, or his sons. "So what exactly does Mr. Haitani do?" I asked, making my mom look at me with a questioning look, "I mean, what exactly is his profession you know, since he mentioned about knowing people in show business."

My mom slightly shrugged, "Well as far as I'm aware, I believe he works in marketing for some company." She continued, "Like your father, he travels quite a lot for work." I nodded, "So he barely spends time with his sons then. He's not aware of what they're doing." My comment made my mom raise an eyebrow at me. Wondering what I meant.

"Just saying you know", trying to correct myself, "He sounds like a busy person. It might be hard as a single parent to be there all the time for your children." She nodded, "Well, I suppose you're right. Yet who are we to judge. It seems he's doing all he can for them." She said flipping another page. "I suppose." I replied as I continued to drink my coffee.

In the back of my mind I still wondered about what Baji had said at the gym that day. Rindou's confirmation about the information Chifuyu and Baji had said further supported the fact that him and his brother had been, and continued to be involved in serious business.
