Takemichi's POV

I still couldn't believe that Y/N was considered among the strongest in the Tokyo Manji gang. As I kneeled there on the ground and watched Mikey pummel Kiyomasa, everything felt unreal. Y/N stood there beside Draken as they both just observed their leader beat this guy. Which did bring some satisfaction to see. As Mikey finished delivering his final punch onto Kiyomasa's face, a cheerful ringtone reverberated through the stillness that followed after the beating was finished.

"Hello?", Y/N answered. "Yes mom. I'm heading home now. We're done taking the trash out." She cheerfully said to her mother on the other line. Her remark of taking out the trash was received with a stifled laugh from Draken beside her. She nudged his shoulder as she turned to walk away in order to talk more privately.

My visions' pathway that followed Y/N was soon blocked by Mikey who leaned down yet again. 'Does this guy not know what personal space is?' I tried to lean back as he got closer. I didn't want to be next in line to get dragged through the dirt like Kiyomasa over there. I glanced over at him to see that he indeed was completely out of it still.

"Hey, come hangout with us.", Mikey said with a slight smile on his face. "Huh?", I hesitantly asked, "Uhh I - ..." I began to answer. "That's not an offer.", interrupted Draken. "Uh well, okay. Sure.", I forcefully agreed. 'Like I had any choice.'

"Come on.", Mikey said as he extended his hand out for me take. I reminded myself that this was why I came back. To get close to them. To Mikey. I took his hand and stood up as he threw his arm around my shoulders. "That's the spirit!", he cheerfully said as he made me take a walk with him. "Hehehe, yeah. Uh thanks.", I said as we made our way towards Tokyo Manji's Number 2.

"If you guys are done bonding, can we please go?", Y/N spoke up returning to where Draken was. "I need to catch the subway to go home before 4 p.m. incase we all forgot." Draken smirked, "Alright, come on I'll drop you off." I looked to my right at Mikey who was just smiling while looking at his friends ahead of us. "Mikey, we're gonna have to take a detour!", Draken called out as he and Y/N began walking away towards the exit of the field. Mikey waved his hand that was around my shoulders, "Yeah yeah, Kenchin."

I couldn't help but also let out an uneasy smile as I glanced back to my friends who were still standing there dumbfounded. Probably as much as I was, but I definitely felt more surprised than they were. Especially knowing how conveniently easy it just became to get close to Sano Manjiro, Mikey.

Y/N's POV

"Alright, princess. Your carriage has arrived at your palace.", Draken said as I got off his bike. "A subway princess? Really Kenchin?", I mockingly said with the nickname he hated being called in public. Before he could say anything I turned to look at Mikey and the kid he saved back in that schools field. "It was nice meeting you Takemichi.", I said smiling at him. "These two aren't that bad, so don't worry."

"I can't promise they won't beat your ass if you try anything funny though.", I told him laughing. "Seriously. Don't.", I stared at him. "Hey don't scare my new friend.", Mikey said. I shrugged, "It's better to be informed." "Don't you have a subway to catch?", Draken chimed in raising his eyebrow at me.

"I have time to say bye, thank you.", I said crossing my arms. "Seriously, Takemichi. You're in good hands. Trust me.", I said trying to comfort him. I'm sure being kidnapped from school and made to ride a motorcycle was anything but normal for him.
