The sharp chill of the morning air bit at Yujin's skin as she leaned against the railing, watching the female soccer team doing their early morning practice on the schools field.

She yawned for the umpteenth time that morning, barely covering her mouth when Bomin bounced her way over.

"Yuyu!" She said happily, throwing her arms around the girl who smiled while her mouth was still wide open.

"Hi Bomin," she said after yawning, wrapping an arm around the girls waist before she pulled away.

"Girl you look so rough, did you get any sleep last night?" She asked, leaning her hip against the railing and crossing her arms.

"Nope," she said, her body exhausted. "Didn't get home from Renjuns until late and then I had to work a double shift at work coz someone was sick. Then I had to study when I got home."

Bomin grimaced. "Yeah that's bad."

Another yawn escaped her lips, shaking her head in agreement before leaning her head against the cool railing.

"Any chance you can get some rest?"

"Nope, I've got double study period next," she sighed, her eyes closed as she kept her head on the railing.

"There's no way you'll be studying during that," Bomin laughed, scrutinising her friends' tired disposition.

Yujin listened her head, a slight frown pulling at her lips. "I've got to study. I have so much I need to do."

Bomin hummed as she looked at her friend, the schools siren indicating the start of classes flaring off behind her.
"Doubt it," she laughed, patting her friends back before making to walk away.
"Sweet dreams, scholar."

Yujin didn't have the energy to glare at her.

-—-

Renjun stretched his arms above his head as he walked down the hallway with Jeno.

"Jaemin said we can chill at his Saturday," Jeno mentioned as the two leisurely strolled through the school on their study period.

"Sweet," Renjun responded, not fully listening as his mind replayed his parents' words from the dinner.

"Pretty sure his dad fixed up the pool, so if it's warm enough we can go swimming," Jeno said, but when Renjun didn't answer, he looked over to see his face stoic.
"Dude, you good?"

"Hmm?" Renjun snapped out of his daze, looking up to his friend before shrugging. "Yeah. Sorry, I've just been distracted."

"Everything all good?" The boy asked, and Renjun just nodded.

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry," he exhaled as they turned the corner. "Jaemins house, right? What time?"

Jeno looked at him with skepticism but didn't push. "After school, you can ride with Jaem and I if you'd like. We gotta pick up some stuff before hand."

"Sounds good," Renjun said, shoving his hands into his pockets.

As they neared the staircase, Jeno clapped the boy on the back. "See ya later, Jun," he said before disappearing up the stairs two steps at a time.

Renjun continued down the hall, making his way to the library.

Pushing open the door, the library was practically empty, all but one girl hunched over a desk.

Renjuns eyebrows furrowed as he neared, freezing when he saw it was Yujin.

She had her head resting on her outstretched arm, her mouth slightly open and stray hairs blew gently in the breeze of the air conditioner she sat right under.

Her breathing was slow and even, light snores escaped her lips and making Renjuns lips twinge upwards ever so slightly.

She was asleep.

And he just stood there.

The harsh fluorescent lights above her made the exhaustion on her face ever more obvious. Illuminating the dark circles under her eyes, the way her eyebrows twitched ever so slightly, and he could see her pupils move beneath her eyelids- it was like even in her sleep, she wasn't fully at ease.

The aircon's blades directed the air up to Renjun, blasting cold air onto him and he shivered.

He looked around at her belongings, her bag sat opened with nothing but books in it, no food, not even a water bottle and she lacked a jacket.

Renjun glanced around the room, seeing nobody around, not even the librarian.

His insides stirred with emotions, his mind racing as he stared down at the girl.

After a few seconds of hesitation, he shrugged off his jacket and carefully draped it over her shoulders.

The girl didn't stir, she was completely dead asleep, but Renjun didn't linger.
Instead he turned and walked away.

-—-

A shiver ran down her spine as she stirred awake, groaning as she blinked groggily.

The cold air from above made her tremble, instinctively grabbing ahold of the jacket around her and pulling it closer to her.

Wait...

Her eyebrows furrowed, her still half awake eyes looked down at the jacket she was wearing and she stared at it.

I didn't bring a jacket today...

It took her a second for her mind to wake up- her eyes widening expeditiously as she took off the jacket and stared at it.

Realising whose jacket it was, she sat up abruptly, eyes frantically scanning the library.

But Renjun was nowhere in sight.
