It had been days since that conversation with Y/N. The space between them had only grown wider. Scoups could feel it every time their paths crossed in class or around campus. She wasn’t looking at him like she used to. She wasn’t smiling. Not for him. And that hurt more than anything else.

But something had to give.

The ache in his chest didn’t go away. Scoups spent every moment replaying his words, his actions—thinking about everything he could have done differently. Why did he let it go this far?

Every time he saw her laughing with Dino, a part of him burned with jealousy. And it wasn't just jealousy; it was regret.

He'd let someone else into her life. Someone who treated her like she deserved to be treated. And Scoups… he just stood there, stuck in his own pride.

That night, Scoups found himself staring at his phone.

He had drafted a message a hundred times, only to delete it before sending. He knew it wasn’t enough. A message wouldn’t fix this.

But what if it was his last chance?

With a frustrated sigh, Scoups dropped his phone onto the desk. The only way to fix this was face-to-face. And it had to happen tonight.

He stood up, hands shaking slightly, his mind racing. He couldn’t wait for the perfect moment anymore—he had to take action.

It was late by the time Scoups found himself walking to Y/N’s dorm. The campus was quieter than usual, most students tucked away in their rooms or out with friends. But he had to do this.

He wasn’t going to let another minute slip by.

He reached her dorm building and paced outside for a moment, his heart pounding. He could hear his breath coming too fast, too uneven.

This was it. This was his chance to make things right—or to lose her forever.

Y/Ns Door

He raised his hand to knock, but hesitated. He wasn’t sure if he was ready for the confrontation, for the fallout. Would she even let him in? Would she listen?

The door swung open before he could knock.

Yeri stood there, eyes narrowing as she took in the sight of him.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, her tone suspicious.

“I… I need to talk to Y/N” Scoups said, voice barely above a whisper.

Yeri crossed her arms, clearly not amused. “Why now? After everything?”

Scoups swallowed, the weight of her question crushing him. “I don’t deserve it, but please, just let me talk to her.”

Yeri studied him for a moment, then stepped aside. “Fine. But don’t mess this up.”

Y/N sat at her desk, the soft glow of her lamp illuminating her face. She didn’t even look up when Scoups walked in, the door softly clicking behind him.

“Y/N” Scoups started, his voice hesitant but strong.

She didn’t react. Didn’t even move.

“I don’t know where to start” Scoups continued, stepping closer. "I’ve messed up. I know that. I shouldn’t have pushed you away, and I should’ve fought for you when I had the chance."

Still, she said nothing.

“You’re right. I’ve been blind. I let my fear control me, and now I’m losing you. And I don’t know how to fix it, but I need you to know that I’m sorry. I need you to know how much you mean to me. I—" He broke off, his frustration building. “I don’t want to lose you, Y/N.”

For the first time, Y/N looked up at him, her eyes cold and distant. “It’s not that simple, Scoups. You can’t just come in here and say you’re sorry and expect everything to be okay. You’ve hurt me more than once, and it’s not something I can just forget.”

Scoups’ chest tightened, but he didn’t look away. “I don’t expect you to forget. I don’t deserve that. But I need you to know that I want to make things right, even if it takes time. I know I can’t undo what I did, but I want to try. I want to show you I can be better. For you.”

Y/Ns gaze softened, but she shook her head. “It’s not about trying, Scoups. It’s about trust. It’s about proving that you won’t keep doing this to me. I can’t just… go back to how things were.”

“I know.” His voice was quiet, but determined. “But I’ll do whatever it takes to earn that trust back. I’ll wait for as long as it takes, if you’ll just give me that chance.”

There was a long silence between them.

Y/N looked down, her fingers fiddling with the sleeve of her jacket. "I don't know if I can do that," she whispered. "I don't know if I can let myself get hurt again."

The raw honesty in her words hit him hard. He had caused this pain. He had made her feel like she couldn’t trust him anymore.

Scoups stepped forward, his voice barely audible. "I don't want to hurt you anymore. Please, Y/N… please give me a chance."

Y/N took a deep breath, and for the first time in what felt like forever, Scoups saw something in her eyes—something that felt like hope.

“I don’t know if I’m ready yet” she said slowly, her voice thick with emotion. “But… I’ll think about it. I can’t promise anything. But I’ll think about it.”

Scoups nodded, relief flooding through him. It wasn’t a promise, but it was a step—a step he hadn’t thought he’d get.

He exhaled, his heart still pounding in his chest, but now there was a flicker of hope. He’d made the first move. He had finally told her the truth. Now, he just had to wait.

“Thank you..” he said softly. "For listening."

Y/N gave him a small, almost reluctant nod. “Go home, Scoups. It’s late.”

He hesitated, wanting to say more, but he knew better.

“Goodnight, Y/N” he said, voice heavy with unspoken words.

And as he turned to leave, he felt the weight of his actions pressing down on him—but also the faintest glimmer of hope that, maybe, just maybe, he hadn’t lost her forever.
