The silence that followed Y/N’s departure felt suffocating.

Scoups stood there, frozen, his fingers twitching at his sides.

He had screwed up. Big time.

Every word she said echoed in his head. Her anger, her bitterness—it was all justified. But still, it hurt.

And deep down, Scoups knew he was running out of time. Out of chances.

The next few days were a blur.

Scoups barely noticed the time slipping away as he kept his eyes on Y/N, watching her interact with everyone but him. With Dino especially.

And the worst part? He could tell—Y/N wasn’t even bothered anymore.

She’d made her peace. She wasn’t waiting for him to fix things. She wasn’t looking at him like she used to. She wasn’t smiling the way she did when they were close.

But Dino?

He made her laugh.

And that killed Scoups.

JEALOUSY, RISING LIKE A STORM.

It was during lunch when it hit him.

Y/N and Dino were at the table, deep in conversation and Scoups couldn’t keep his eyes off them.

Dino reached for Y/N tray to grab a piece of her food without asking. And she didn’t even seem to mind.

Scoups felt something sharp twist in his chest. It was an ache, a painful jealousy that made his blood burn.

"You’re staring again" Mingyu said, poking his friend in the arm.

Scoups didn’t even respond. His mind was too consumed by the sight in front of him.

He couldn’t stand it.

The way Dino leaned in to say something, the way Y/N’s face lit up when she laughed—it all made something inside Scoups snap.

Mingyu sighed. "You’re gonna lose her if you keep acting like this."

Scoups fist tightened around his drink, the plastic bottle crumpling slightly. "I know," he muttered, his voice sharp with frustration. "I know."

Mingyu raised an eyebrow. "Then do something about it. You’re not going to win her back by just watching."

Scoups didn’t answer, his gaze still locked on
Y/N.

She looked… different. Lighter. Like she wasn’t carrying the weight of whatever happened between them. And that was the part that hurt the most—she didn’t need him.

It wasn’t long after lunch that Scoups found himself standing by the gym door, watching as Y/N and Dino entered, talking in low voices.

Scoups couldn’t take it anymore.

He pushed the door open with a force that made it swing back against the wall, startling everyone inside.

"Dino, I need to talk to Y/N" he said, his voice cutting through the noise of the gym.

Dino raised an eyebrow but nodded, stepping aside without a word.

Scoups turned to Y/N. She didn’t look at him. She just stood there, arms crossed, the same cold expression she had been wearing for days.

"I told you already, Scoups" she said, her voice measured. "There’s nothing to talk about."

He couldn’t hold it in anymore.

"Why him?" Scoups demanded, taking a step forward. His voice was rough, almost desperate. "Why are you so comfortable with him? Why not me?"

Y/N jaw clenched, but she didn’t respond.
