The Trinisette was once reborne from the remains of a great and noble dragon, his teachers had said. One whose life essence was holding the concepts of space-time, of life and death ..bound to the new world order. Chaining them to items that served as the pillar of progress of all civilisation.

Presently, they were seen as seven rainbow colored pacifiers.

The dragon and its story blurred into nothingness in the passage of time. The noble presence reduced to only a story that Kawahira heard from Saphira's parents. The pair that took him in when his own perished in their duty to the Sky Stones.

'How ludicrous.' Kawahira was preparing his shop for customers. Classical opera music playing in the background.

'They have the time to chisel false gods into stone but not to remember their old protectors. Well, not like my people have any proof outside the stones.' he mused wiping the counter with a wet rag.

He would learn just what gave birth to the Myth. And exactly what their acts would cause.

All starting.. with the breaking of the Arcobaleno Curse.

Skull's POV

It felt like Chains the weight of the world broke off of my back. A ship weight I no longer had to drag around with me. The distant churning in my ear drifted far far away, till I could no longer hear it. It was like an illusion.

Similar to how the most stubborn of rotten gum washed off my back, I could rise as easily as breathing.

'How did I not feel this before?'

I clenched my hand, pressing my fist against my chest as an intangible flame pounded underneath. Like emotions fuelling my heart, it was irreplaceable. My shoulders sagged as I released a breath that felt heavy inside my mouth. The air could carry me away now, I thought peacefully.

—Flame-Actives could feel tremors ransacking their bodies as the old concept passed and the new one took hold, even if only a minority knew of the cause. The sheer power that had kept it all together till now.. it was nothing short of an existence capable of leveling all life. A powerplant, some of their elite acquaintances said. And this was all a natural law -or system- as some viewed it. And it was manually changed! Amazing!

If only they knew what they did.

'Was this what Atlas felt when he no longer carried the Earth?'

How amusing it all felt. Like the deaths I faced for so long had been nothing more than a farce. Like the world was brighter. As if.. as if I had been nothing more than a full husk who saw the world in ash and dusk. A doll hooked on a script that was called my life.

'But why? Did I abandon my old life? Did I have no choice?'

I felt a void in my head.

The oddity of a childhood that was supposedly mine rushed back once more.

"..was it an illusion?"

Another voice interrupted me. And my brain chilled just by knowing who it was.

"What, did Checkerface do something to you when we weren't watching, Kora!"

Third POV

×Two hours before×

The Vindice and Bermuda left with the containers. The pacifiers were continuously shooting through night flame loops.

'Such a quick solution, and we're free only now.' the Arcobaleno had watched them leave, missing the moment when Kawahira had given the looping rainbow a look and left. Talbot also left, giving a short congrats to Tsunayoshi for this feat before urging the rest to return to the hospital again.
