"Guys, don't worry about the movie. Or at least with me, I'm gonna head out," I say, turning off my phone, dealing with two very confused friends in front of me.
"I take it that means no pasta, then?" George asks, holding up a bowl full of fresh food.
"Sorry. Maybe next time," I grin.
"I'd just chosen a movie, too! Where are you going?" Hattie asks from her seat on the sofa.
"Just out for drive. Clear my head, all that jazz," I tell them vaguely.
George looks at me, slightly worried. "It's freezing outside and your heating in your car doesn't work," he states, like it's obvious.
"I never said it was my car, did I?" I reply, grinning at both of them, retreating back to my room before either of them decide to interrogate me anymore.
Grabbing everything I think I need, which isn't a lot, I pack into my tote bag, swinging it onto my shoulder, heading back out into the main area of the living room, noticing George and Hattie cuddled up on the sofa, the TV blaring. I just about manage to leave the flat without stirring them, gently closing the door behind me.
It hadn't been thirty minutes yet, but it's nice to get out of the flat.
