Louis: You sat outside with you baby cousin who you were taking care of for the day. You had finally gotten her to fall asleep, so you placed her on a blanket under a tree. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Louis walking around the side of your house. You groaned, since you really didn’t feel like putting up with his insults and rude comments today, no matter how much you liked him. You didn’t know why you liked him, since you shouldn’t have because he was so awful to you, but you did, but you acted like you hated him. You stood up, crossing your arms as you watched him. Louis smirked and called, “Where’s Harry? He told me he was coming to help you today.” You said, “Shh, she’s sleeping. He told me he couldn’t make it.” He rolled his eyes, “You’re so annoying, (Y/N). Did he say why?” You shook your head and glanced at your cousin. “And don’t call me annoying, Louis,” you replied, turning your back on him. “Oh, please,” he said, unintentionally raising his voice, “I only speak the truth.” You turned to face him, uncrossing your arms and placing your hands on your hips, practically yelling, “Shut up! You don’t have any right to call me annoying, or ugly, or whatever else you think I am, because you don’t know me as well as you might think!” Your cousin began to cry, and you placed your head in your hands and Louis said, “Great job, (Y/N)! You woke the baby up!” He shoved past you and walked toward the baby, picking her up and cooing at her. “Did the mean lady scare you? Yes, I know she did,” he said, glaring at you. You walked over and took her from him, “What are you doing, (Y/N)? She obviously likes me more.” You put her back on her blanket and sat across from her, playing with her. Louis sat next to you, and you looked at him. “Could you please leave?” He shook his head, making your cousin giggle with his silly faces. You looked at her and you asked, “Why does he hate me? Huh? Why? Oh, goodness, you’re so cute, baby girl! What have I done to him?” Louis drew your cousin’s attention to him when he said, “Aw, I don’t hate her, do I? No, I don’t!” “Yes, he does!” “No, I don’t!” You turned to him, “Yeah, you do.” Louis sighed and looked at you as best as he could, since your cousin had a hold on his thumbs. “I don’t.” You rolled your eyes at him. “Honestly, (Y/N), I just didn’t know how else to get your attention. At least, if I acted like I didn’t like you, I could talk to you.” He shrugged and continued playing with your cousin. You stared at him in disbelief. “I actually really like you,” he continued, “I don’t think you’re annoying, or ugly, or anything. I think there’s only good in you, and I really like that. So, I’m sorry.” You stood and left him with your cousin as you took a breather. After a few moments, you gave him a hug from behind. You said, “I don’t hate you either, and I’m sorry. I thought you truly didn’t like me at all so I just retaliated. I’ve liked you for a while…” Louis turned and smiled at you. “Is it alright if I stay and help you take care of this adorable baby?” You nodded and sat down again. The rest of the day, you and Louis took care of your cousin and got to know each other for real.
