Regulus Tohsaka POV

I sat on my desk chair carefully reading through the book on Norse Symbols and There Meaning but my mind wasn't really focused on it at the current moment.

It had been exactly five years since I was reborn in this world as to what I can only guess to be the male equivalent of Sakura Tohsaka the little sister of Rin Tohsaka from the fate series. In that five-year time stamp I've done nothing but train my ass off since the moment I realized what my fate would be.

I had the same number and quality of magic circuits as Rin but was never taught the Tohsaka Family Jewelcraft only just the basics of Reinforcement, Alteration, Hypnosis, Flash Air, Bounded Field Arts and Projection.

My new 'father' was a kind but cold idiotic man but I was none the less thankful for him at least giving me the basic knowledge as it allowed me to experiment with what little I could. I didn't know any other magecraft other than what my Element and Origin were Hollow/Imaginary Numbers.

I did the only thing I could and just worked on developing those two aspects which I then incorporated to work with nature.

What do I mean by that you might wonder? Well it started with an observation a small almost trivial thing plants.

During my early experiments I noticed how my mana interacted with living organisms especially flora. While the Tohsaka family's magecraft leaned toward inorganic manipulation through jewels I realized that nature itself could serve as a conduit for Hollow and Imaginary Numbers.

At first it was accidental a simple attempt at Reinforcement went awry and a withered houseplant I was using as a focus bloomed into a strange otherworldly flower. Its petals shimmered with a strange quality as if it was glitched yet at the same time not.

I remember staring at it for hours uncertain whether it was a success or a failure. Eventually I realized what it was a hybrid creation, something imbued with both my Hollow element and the physical properties of nature.

From there it became my obsession.

My room turned into my own workshop of sorts filled with different plants that glowed faintly in the dark. I created flowers that absorbed mana from the air, vines that moved ever so slightly when touched, and even a small sapling that could bend light around it rendering it nearly invisible.

Nature was something that people always underestimated but I saw it's potential. A blade of grass could become a razor-sharp weapon, a cluster of vines an impenetrable barrier.

But the true breakthrough came when I realized I could imbue these creations with functions, almost like Mystic Codes. With the right application of Imaginary Numbers I created plants that could store spells releasing them when triggered. A flower that could create an illusion when plucked. A vine that emitted a pulse of mana to disrupt bounded fields when crushed.

Eventually I thought if I could do this sort of thing with just plants then what about trees and their wood?

It was early morning when I had asked my 'mother' if I could go to the park by myself she had at first wanted to come with me but with a bit of convincing I was able to make her let me go by myself.

After that it was just a simple manner of heading deep into the park woods where no one could see me. I picked one of the many random Sakura trees and straight up poured my mana into it infusing it with my Hollow aspect first.

Much like the plants the tree tried to resist but with a bit of pushing I was able to push through it once I did the tree groaned and shuddered as it began to change. The Sakura petals glowed a hot pink while the bark turned white, I concentrated a bit more and opened up a portal to my pocket world transporting the tree and the land beneath it into it for further study.

I followed in watching as the tree settled down into my space, but the tree seemed to now pulse the air inside the space suddenly felt lighter and when I breathed, I could practically taste the mystery in the air.

My imaginary space had now become a source of mystery just by having this tree placed in there which meant I now had a place where my spells would be much stronger then on Earth.

I gleefully remembered taking more trees and placed them into my space to increase the amount of mystery generation produced. The smile on my face was something that seemed to unnerve both Aoi and Rin when I came home that day.

Then that very night later when everyone slept, I had opened the space once more but this time I broke down one of the Sakura trees and reshaped it around until it formed a human puppet like body that looked identical to myself.

The puppet had no life of its own it was perfectly obedient and could work independently/dependently when I ordered it to with my words or mana strings. It wasn't just that made me so gleeful though no it was that I had found the very thing I would need to not only fool Zouken Matou but kill him completely.

From there though it was quite easy to just toss a what I dubbed a spy seed into the Tohsaka library and use it to view the contents hidden within and all the while not get caught.

I snapped the book in my hand shut tilting my head up slightly which caused my glasses to glint slightly "...Rin what I have told you about coming into my room unannounced in the middle of the night when I am trying do some peaceful reading," I called out as I heard a faint yelp come out from the other side of my door that was half opened causing me to smirk slightly.

Rin's voice quickly followed muffled and defensive "I-I wasn't...! I just came to check on you that's all! You've been in there all day aside from breakfast, lunch, and dinner so I-I got a bit worried," she half shouted trying to keep her voice low lest she woke both our Father and Mother.

I stood up walking over to my door and opened it revealing Rin looking away from me embarrassed "well as you can see I am quite fine and healthy Rin," I finally said as she shuffled awkwardly.

"..." No response was given as I raised a careful brow wondering why she was so silent and still looking nervous "a-actually I wanted to ask if you wanted to play together right now since father's not around to keep giving me instructions on magecraft, and it's been so long since we've had some fun," she finally said

For a moment I simply stared at her my expression soft yet unreadable Rin opens her mouth again but my fingers tapped her forehead causing her flinch back a bit "forgive me...elder sister maybe some other time," I said with an apologetic smile.

I'd make it up to her later I still needed to finish up the book I was reading Rin blinked her mouth opening to say something, but the words faltered at the back of her throat "...right," she mumbled with hidden disappointment "some other time," she turned and left.

With that I closed my door and calmly got back to my book ignoring the small pang I felt in my chest.

I was on a ticking clock and needed all of my time to prepare for the promised day where Tokiomi would finally hand me away to the monster.

And there you have it a new fanfic idea I had after reading a Male Rin Tohsaka SI Fic on Questionable Questioning that I thought was very interesting.
