"So you're not turning down the dance?" He asks, a mischievous glint in his expression.
"I —" I stammer, before George and Arthur come bounding over. "Rain-check. I'll find you later?"
He doesn't argue, quickly saying hello to my two friends, before peeling away, and heading off to the dance floor.
"Told you that it would be fine," George says, giving me a hug. "You did so good! People loved it."
"I'm glad it's over, and now I need a drink," I laugh, looping arms with both George and Arthur, dragging them to the bar.
"Amen to that," Arthur agrees, the three of us heading to the bar.
From my peripheral vision, I notice Harry standing alone on the dance floor, reminding me of our conversation.
"Guys — can you order for me and hold onto it? There's something I need to do really quickly," I say, not giving any further explanation before leaving them both.
I make my way over to Harry, who looks a little startled to see me walking towards him.
"What, you thought I was going to leave you looking like a lost puppy on the dance floor? Even I'm not that harsh," I laugh. "You're lucky it's a fast song, I'm not doing a slow dance with you."
"Fast song is fine with me," he grins, as we start to dance together.
"Are you serious about wanting to come onto the podcast?" I ask him, after a few moments of silence.
He looks shocked, but nods. "Yeah."
"I'll text with a date," I smile, as the song starts to change into a slower one. "That's my cue to go and get absolutely wasted. I'll see you soon."
"Yes you will," he replies, watching as I walk away, back to my friends, who were waiting with the first proper drink of the night.
