(A/N: During Darkness Rising parts 3 and 4 I am mainly focusing on the battle of the undead Terrorcons because A: Jetfire will be going with Optimus and Ratchet. B: Fowler's rescue will go pretty much like canon with maybe a few differences. And C: The story is Jetfire-focused, so both parts will be merged.)
(A/N: This story also introduces a female human OC at PetGriggory's request. But I must clarify the female character will have a normal name instead of just (Y/N), but you readers can call the character whoever you wish. I hope you'll understand; the female human character's name will be Lori. No, not Lori from Transformers Cybertron it just a name share to further pay homage to Cybertron nothing more. She's 18 years old, has long black hair, and blue eyes, and is about the same height as Jack, and doesn't understand why Miko rushes into danger and won't hesitate to yell in Miko's face for her to learn sense, and has a big brother relationship with Raf. And by PetGriggory's request, Lori will have a bond/partnership with Jetfire, loving his ability to fly and bursts of his gung-ho attitude and she also respects how Jetfire isn't afraid to not only sacrifice his life but also tell any bot no matter who they are that they are wrong. Finally, I know the introduction of this character is a bit last minute but I've been thinking about whether or not to add a Female human character or not and I think this will be a good compromise. Also, I should clarify Jetfire can freely fly to and from the base because his signal is scrambled when he flies in jet mode. He can fit in the base and fly through the ground bridge but a lot of times he uses the newly hidden runway in the autobots base. Think how Jetfire takes off from the autobots base in Transformers Cybertron, how the slingshot that Jetfire uses is hidden and comes out from the rock. Also like most if not all fliers can hover in their jet modes and Jetfire is no different so he can land like a VTOL, he uses the elevator to get to the top of the silo to get into the base from the outside because he can't fit through the road path. Hope I got that clarified enough. I try to be a writer of the people so here we go.)

It has been about a day since Jetfire has become part of Team Prime, and he has settled in very well. Taking his responsibility as the team's new second in command with all that he is. But one thing that he didn't expect was on one mission to investigate decepticon activity, he would have an unexpected run-in with a human. She had been on a nature walk and had accidentally stumbled into the battle and Jetfire, being the protector that he is, dove into jet mode, transformed, and picked the human girl up to get her to safety. Flying back to base, Jetfire assures the girl that she is safe and everything is going to be alright. It was at this point that the girl said her name was Lori Thompson (or Y/N if anyone wanted to) and Jetfire introduced himself. Lori asked where they were going and why is he holding onto her. Jetfire reassures that because she not only seen him but also had a close encounter with the decepticons she may have become a target. Lori asked what he meant and what were the decepticons and Jetfire summed up what he and the cons were and told her that she was one of the little few who knew the truth about him and other cybertronians and because she knew about them, the autobots, the cons may come after her. Jetfire then contacted the base and gave his report on his mission and that he had encountered a human. Of course, Ratchet wasn't at all happy about this, but Jetfire shut him up by saying as an Autobot it's his job to protect the innocent and those who can't protect themselves, which did shut Ratchet up and fortunately Optimus was with Ratchet to continue the call and he told Jetfire that he did the right thing but he should bring the human he rescued back to base to learn the truth, which Jetfire obliges. After about an hour of flying Lori sees that Jetfire flew towards a particular mesa that had a construct on top.
