The amount of rain falling from the clouds as the night went on had decreased heavily in comparison to the stormy thunder from earlier that night. The clock had ticked on, the new day drifting into view.

Chris was led by the new nurse and the other one who had helped him calm down from his panic attack towards Felix's room and the moment the door opened Chris ran as fast as he possibly could towards Felix who sat up in the bed with a relieved look on his face from the second he caught sight of him walking in.

Chris had wrapped his arms tight around his lover, the few tears of relief falling down his cheeks that he was unable to stop from leaving his eyes. Felix almost weakly wrapped his own, easier-to-move arm around his lover too and they held eachother close.

They then eventually pulled away, Chris wiping the tears from his eyes and both of them paying attention to what the nurse (the one who had helped Chris) had to say. She told them that she was going to give them some space, checking on them every now and again. She also said that Felix had to stay overnight for what was left of it but that Chris could stay too if he liked. And that she was going to speak to them the next afternoon about what happens next before Felix can go home.

Then the nurse left the room, giving them some privacy and space as she closed the door firmly to avoid it slamming. To which Felix immediately started releasing harsh sobs, much to the surprise and worry of his fiance.

"Hey, hey, baby what's wrong?" Chris asked with an immediate tone of concern, subconsciously reaching an arm out to caress Felix's leg softly and comfort his lover.

But Felix wouldn't stop crying, floods of tears falling fast and rough from his eyes as they hit his cheeks and soaked up his clothing. Chris' hand found it's way to Felix's, the one with bandages wrapped around and up his arm to his elbow. Covering the cuts and allowing them to heal. "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry."

"Why are you apologising? Lix, you've done nothing wrong."

"I scared you and I hurt myself and I could've died, Chris. I could've fucking died. You couldn't even go see your friends for one damn night without me screwing it up, I'm so shitty towards you. I'm like my mum, wouldn't be surprising if one day I spiralled and hurt you too." Felix spoke, overwhelmed with emotion as the tears drenched through his shirt. The soggy clothing felt awfully familiar, in some ways.

"But you wouldn't. I know you wouldn't and so do you. Darling, you've been through so much in such a short amount of time. So much has happened and you've found out some disgusting information about people you should've been able to trust and should've loved you. Your dad never ever deserved that and you never deserved to have to be treated the horrible ways that woman treated you. Recently, your life has been a rollercoaster of so much stuff happening to you and so much information being thrown at you. Baby, it's not your fault. And nobody is blaming you."

"What did I do to deserve you Christopher?" Felix smiled lightly, feeling Chris wipe the tears from his eyes gently with his free hand. He genuinely felt the luckiest human on the planet earth, listening to what his partner had to say.

"You gave me a latte and one of your delicious treats on an October Tuesday. And did the same thing every week, on the rainy days and in Something Sweet." Chris beamed, placing his hand up against Felix's cheek and cupping it softly. He leaned in slowly, pressing a soft and loving kiss upon Felix's perfect lips.

"I guess the best love stories start with a treat then?" Felix replied, not truly realising what those words he had spoken truly meant. Nor how right he was.

"Indeed they do," Chris whispered, resting his forehead against Felix's lightly. "It's gonna be okay, my love. The world's gonna slow down for us from now on and I'm never leaving your side again."

"Promise?" Felix voiced, as Chris replied with a nod of clear sincerity.

"And I'll keep it to the very end."

They were then enveloped in a sweet silence, losing themselves in the prescence of one another. It was really all they needed in that moment.
Which was interesting.

It was interesting considering that there was no rain left that fell from the clouds up in the endless sky above, nor where they in the comfort of their home they called Something Sweet. But there still was rainy days and something sweet. Or even, something sweeter.

"Y'know, I've been thinking..." Chris began, breaking the silence but not like it was glass shattered but like a brownie gently torn in two.

"About what?" Felix asked as they pulled away from their sweet embrace, their hands still connected as they often were.

"About our wedding." Chris replied simply, caressing his thumb over Felix's soft, light honey-toned skin.

"Yeah? What about it?"

"What if we didn't have a big, grand day? What if we just went to a registry office, wearing our suits still, but no guests and just to do the vows and stuff. Then we gather all our friends at the shop, y'know, Ji, Hyune, Mins and Jeong as well as Seungmin and Changbin to have a bit of a party afterwards?" Chris suggested, articulating his idea perfectly through words as Felix listened carefully with a very endearing gaze he laid upon his lover.

"I absolutely love that idea, that sounds perfect darling." Felix beamed, almost sighing as he fell further in love than he already was with the gorgeous man. "Do you have an idea for a date yet then?"

"Well, if we want Seungmin and Changbin to be there in the evening, we'll have to ask them when they can travel over. But I don't really wanna wait too long, I want you to be my husband already."

"Me too."

Chris was right, they'd been through (particularly Felix) a hell of a lot of stuff in such a short chunk of time, so many ups and downs and side to sides. It was indeed, one heck of a rollercoaster ride. Maybe it was really time to slow it down again, bring the telling of this love story to an end as we watch it bloom into something even sweeter. It was gonna get better for both of them (finally), and I mean it this time! No more plot twists or shocking discoveries last minute, just a lifetime of love, rainy days and...
