This book has been written as part of a series taking place in between "40 Days In The Desert" and "Beauty and Decay," but it can be also read as a standalone. Only a few details connect with "40 Days In The Desert" and the fact that they're set in the same universe with recurring characters. The action in this story happens a decade after the end of the that book and features some other characters from it as well. However, this can be easily read even by someone who's not familiar with any of the books from the series.
As a side note, I don't have warnings for each chapter, but keep in mind that the story features: violence, language, drugs and alcohol consumption, gore, and mentions of occult elements.
