She met his eyes and heard his mind filled with questions that begged for an explanation. She could hear him wonder why she was suddenly hustling the both of them. "It's Klaus," she answered.

"What about him?" Asked Five.

"He got shot." Y/N answered, "If we don't hurry, we might lose him."

Before Five could get another word in and ask her how she knew about it, he already heard her voice in his head, “We'll talk about all this later, okay?”

Five glanced at the girl again. Even though he was growing sick of her selling him short on answers, he'd grown to care about Klaus more than he shows. With that, he had to put this train hopping on hold to make sure his brother was okay.

And so, once the train came to a stop and opened their doors, Five took Y/N by the hand and made their way back to the turnstiles.

They've been running around town for what seemed like hours, away from the townspeople. Considering the decline in their immune system, they were forced to stop in the middle of town when vomit started running up Viktor's and Allison's throats.

Their pause also had Luther come across a name he hasn't seen nor heard in a long while. It just so happens that it appeared as a brand of a dead man's vest:

HARGREEVES ENTERPRISES

"Dad?"

From that moment on, Luther quickly came into his senses. "No." It eventually struck him that this town was, indeed, too good to be true. But of course, he was aware that each small town had their own flaws.

He just didn't expect that the flaw of New Grumpson consisted gunmen targeting them.

Especially right now.

Before he could have the time to explain to Viktor and Allison what he had just found, the armed mob was, once again, in sight -- ready to run and shoot. "Oh, shit! Get down!"

As quick as he can, Luther pulled the both of them to him and shielded them from the whole town's rogue bullets. Although they weren't going through Luther's back, he had to brace himself from the repetitive and torturous impact of these bullets.

Viktor tried to help after hearing the pain in Luther's grunts. With his lava-like sound waves, he sent half of them flying to their demise.

Allison followed his lead out of instinct. She tore away from Luther's shield body and obtained eye contact with one of the shooters. By doing so, she picked on his brain and manipulated him into shooting his comrades, including himself.

"Well, my new power's dope." Allison remarked.

Just when they thought they can breathe freely again, they heard sleigh bells ringing from a distant. And there they saw Santa Claus firing away with two firearms, leading them to use Luther as a human shield again.

In the heat of the moment, Five and Y/N also appeared out of nowhere.

"Five, Y/N, get in here!"

They had no time to celebrate Five's minor success in blinking back to their original timeline. Under the circumstances, Luther welcomed them with an open arm and let them hide from the endless bullets.

Despite the lag of time travelling, Y/N forced herself to create a forcefield around them to keep the bullets from hitting Luther's back anymore. It was almost as translucent as a hologram, considering the state of her health. The bullets went through her forcefield either way.
