Daneen bobbed her head. "That's right. I hope everything will turn out fine for you. For both of us."
After a few random talks, they ate a delicious lunch. Andaleeb was finally at peace because she got her sister back.

Her eyes went towards the screen of her phone once again in search of both the current time and any notification.
It was twelve ten in the night but Masab was not back home. He wasn't even picking up his phone and he also never informed her of his well bring. He never returned home this late. Ever since their marriage, he mostly came back at around ten. But now seeing no response from him made Andaleeb worried.
Everyone had gone back to their rooms a while ago; hence, she didn't feel right disturbing them. Masab might have some work to do, or he must have been stuck in traffic. She hoped nothing bad would have occurred to him. Earlier, she had consulted Bi Jan about this, and she reassured her by saying that Masab mostly came home late at night due to work. When he had an overload of work, he mostly stayed at the office. So Andaleeb shouldn't get anxious over it at all. However, that occurred when Masab had told her that he would be home by eleven. It was past one hour, and neither he was contacting, nor he was attending to her calls. Now making Bi Jan or anyone else worried for it was not right.
He might have his battery dead or maybe something else would have happened. This should have satisfied her anxious heart, but it wasn't in her control. Ever since she discovered that she loved him, unusual fear lurked in her heart, which wasn't something that she wanted to feel. However, there was some sense that some inevitable would occur, and she couldn't be able to stop it. She couldn't pinpoint this at all. Whenever Masab talked about death or said anything about separation, it broke her heart. Whenever he took the worth of his life lightly or claimed to even sacrifice his life to prove his love for her, it trembled her soul.
The only solution that came into her mind to make her heart, body, and mind feel peace was to seek Allah's help. Andaleeb got out of bed and went inside the washroom to perform ablution. She didn't pray regularly. She couldn't even recall when the last time did she pray but maybe she was becoming selfish to remember Allah when she was in distress and nothing else could have helped her. However, Allah would like when HIS creation to repent and come back to HIM in any way.
After ablution, she searched for the prayer mat in the room. Masab used to perform prayers and she only saw the prayer mat in his hands. After a bit of effort, Andaleeb found it in the cupboard. She spread the dupatta around her head and body and then started praying.
When it was time for dua, she froze. She was praying for a man who killed another innocent man. She was accepting the love and life of someone who was a murderer. A murder was a great sin and she was becoming a part of that. It was totally wrong. A coldness came in her heart at this and words couldn't come over her tongue.
However, the next moment, her mind played with her heart, and a thought came into her brain that this was all fate. Aurang wasn't meant to die like this. She got up without asking anything in dua. Folding the prayer mat, she placed it back in the cupboard. However, what was to be followed surprised her as the door got pushed a bit, and then Masab appeared.
He was looking alluring as usual in his black shirt and pants with the cuffs of his shirt folded till the elbows and a few buttons of his shirt were opened. He had his grey coat wrapped over his left arm but the tensed look over his face was something which couldn't remain away from her.
Did her unasked prayer get answered? Her life was hypocritical, and her heart was not pure, but how did this happen then?
Fate. All this was fate. Everything that happened was fate. From the start to the end, it was all a game of fate. Allah had put the love in her heart for a murderer. She couldn't do anything about this. It wasn't in her control. Tears filled her eyes as happiness rose in her heart before she rushed towards him. Without wasting any moment, she hugged him by wrapping her arms around his waist and putting her head over his chest.
The warmth she got from the protective embrace of her husband was something that was out of this world.
Maybe it was all that was written for her and she couldn't go away from him at all.
