Chapter 22: Interrogation

This chapter is told by the POV of Antonio

Really? These guys again? We had stopped running for like three seconds when out of fucking nowhere this giant bird swooped down and began attacking Mike then this guy jumped onto Milton and wrapped his body around Milton's like a snake. I stomp on the ground and it sends a chunk of rock flying up infront of my face. I kick the chuck and it going flying through the air and hits the snake dude's head knocking him out. The bird flies up and begins to fly off

"Not so fast tweety!" Milton shouts blasting the bird out of the sky with a large ball of fire. He hits the ground and skids a few feet before stopping facefirst in the dirt. I walk up and take a closer look at it. It has a human face besides the beak and feathers and has arms as well as wings.

"He better be alive hothead, we need to ask him some questions" Oliver scolds walking to the bird man as well

"No, he's alive. But we need to tie him up" I say reaching my hand out. The nearby vines from the trees slithers into my hand and I hand them to Oliver and Mike

"What about him?" Milton says pointing to the snake. I look over at him still laying knocked out in the leaves and flashback to myself laying dead in the flowerbed outside of Kelly's house

"We only need one of them" I say coldly then twirl my hand in the air stiring up the leaves and rocks around him shredding him to nothing then look back to Milton who just stands there quitely

"Hey" Mike says grabbing my shoulder "He's all tied up" I turn to the bird guy and bend close to him then punch him hard in the face jolting him awake

"Ok now, who's your master I've heard so much about?" I ask grabbing him by the shoulders so he is looking directly at me. His sharp yellow eyes stare right back into mine

"Like I'll ever tell you!" He screeches and attempts to peck at my face. I stand up straight and glare down at him

"Looks like you'll need some persuading then" I say softly then extend my arm towards him and close my eyes. The ground below him begins to soften as he sinks into it. I stop right before his neck then kneel next to him

"Please let me go" he begs to me struggling to move more than just his neck

"Than tell me what I need to know" I say pushing him slightly farther into the ground

"I can not. I would rather die than betray my master" he says closing his eyes ready for me to kill him. I glare intensly at him them grab him by his white robe hood and pull him out of the ground still tied up

"Die? No no no" I say getting close to his face again "You're going to wish you were dead. Now, what do I pluck off first? Your right or left wing?"

After roughly an hour of torture and a loss of a wing and some teeth I grab to bloodied up bird guy and look into his eyes knowing he is broken inside

"Tell me now. Who. Is. He.?" I say dropping him on his back

"He's a scientest named Robert Rodriguez" he replies spitting out some blood on the ground "He genectically modifies humans with animal dna to make hybrids like me. He is trying to collect humans with special abilities like you to make mega creatures. The lab is only about three miles from here. Now please, let me go?"

"Sorry, but I can't do that" I say extending my arm towards him again and open the ground up burying him alive. I turn and begin walking away

"Woah dude, what the fuck?!" Where are you going?!" Milton shouts after me

"The lab, Devin should be heading there, and hopefully Kelly is with him. You coming or not?" I say still walking. He runs and catches up to me

"Dude, you just killed two people back-"

"They weren't people anymore!" I inturupt "They were mutant hybrid things, you know that!"

"Yeah I guess, but..." he softly objects

"Plus, Ive died before. Its no big deal" I say looking dead at him
