"What time it is?" She asked, roaming her gaze around.
"Eight in the morning. Get up and have a good shower. Then we'll grab something for breakfast," he gently asserted, pulling a thick lock of her hair behind her ear.
Andaleeb sighed. "It's already eight. I feel like I haven't got enough sleep. I just want to sleep now."
She once again encircled her arms around his waist and hid her face in his chest as she closed her eyes. Masab chuckled, noticing this, but deep down, he liked to see her getting used to him like this. She loved him back was the information he wanted to get reminded and learn every other second.
A few of those charming moments where he could relish in the nearness of the love of his life.
"You are sleeping this soundly in an unfamiliar hotel room, Andi. Are you really okay? Because people get trouble sleeping in new places," he inquired, with a smug.
She scowled at him before lifting her head. Bracing herself on her elbows which she placed over his chest, she put her face in the flower of her hands.
"You...It's because of you. You have made me so weird," she murmured.
He grinned, kissing the area between her brows. "Is it the effect of the confession you did or because you slept in my arms the whole night?"
She hit his bicep lightly. "You are an overconfident and entitled jerk."
Masab raised a brow. "You still didn't deny that, my sweetest Andi."
Andaleeb huffed. "That's insane because I also never found comfort anywhere to sleep when it's not my bed and not my pillow. I have so much habit of my pillow that before marriage, I always thought of taking my pillow with me as my dowry. But this night...it was so comforting for me. I felt like I just got healed. As though the shackles of the past have left me, and now I can finally move on. It's crazy because this past was not something I should have forgotten but I did."
He only stared at her with a faint smile playing over his lips before grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers. "It's so unbelievable to realize someday that you say that you love me. To be honest, where I had believed in my love to make you put trust in my love, at the same time, I didn't know that your hatred for me would go away someday and especially get replaced by love."
She blinked. "I always treated you badly. I always disregarded your love for me. Why haven't you stopped loving me? It was like you were waiting for me and wait has a limit. But your love has no limit."
He pulled their entangled hands towards his face and then kissed her delicate fingers one by one, sending jolts of comfort through her. No doubt, he was her relief and happy pill. The key he used to open the stubborn lock of her heart was based on pure love and affection.
"You were never wrong, Andaleeb. Your each and every reaction was justified. And the way you made yourself so daring, courageous, and off-limit for me made me admire you more. Well, I am a selfish and egoistical bastard, so I won't say sorry for kidnapping you because technically, that's what made you mine," he chuckled in the end, which even made her lips spread as well.
She shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe that was fate. That was all written for us. I had to become yours, but we belonged to different worlds; hence we got this twisted path to become one. But now I can't even imagine a second without you."
Masab peppered feather-like kisses over her cheek, and she closed her eyes momentarily to relish in the feel of his lips. "It's all the effect of pulling that gun over my head? If I knew this would turn your heart upside down, then I would have presented my gun to you myself a long time ago. Yes, it's all fate. But somehow when my heart called your name for the first time, it wanted you at the same moment. I made every daring effort to reach you and I am proud of that, irrespective of it being wrong or right. I am a bad man. I am evil, sinful, and cruel. So the right or wrong didn't matter to me unless I presented as a courageous lover who wanted to make the woman he loved a queen."
Andaleeb rolled her eyes. "You are a self-obsessed douchebag, but I can't help but still love you."
"I take pride in that, my love," he mumbled, before placing his hand over the back of her head and then pulling her down for a fiery kiss. His hands fell all over her body while her both fingers roamed in his soft hair.
Before this could get any passionate, she pushed his shoulder to put a halt to this kiss. "I want to tell you something, Masab. Since our feelings for each other are as clear as a mirror. I don't want to remain in any ambiguity, guilt, or worry now. I know whatever happened between us was something very complicated. However, now that we are together and we want to live together in the future, I don't want any complexity, lies, or fibs anymore. I love you and I want truths. Truth in everything. My family...they don't know the real version of everything. As my husband, I want you to have the respect which you deserve. And I will make sure to tell the truth."
He pressed his lips together. "It's not as easy as you are thinking."
Andaleeb gritted her brows. "What do you mean?"
"Means it's of no use to dig the old graves. I got you and that was the only thing I ever wanted. I care for nothing else," Masab uttered, truthfully.
"But---"
She had to linger as he put a finger over her lips. "I did everything for you. For our love. I don't want to ruin the taste of my effort which I made in my way of you."
She exhaled. "Still, you can at least tell me what exactly happened to me. I don't remember anything when I fled from my wedding other than having a drink which didn't let me even take a next moment. But why would he make me drink a drugged drink at---"
Masab cupped her shoulder. At such a crucial point in their lives, he didn't wish to hear Andaleeb talking about that incident. It would be better if she forgot it forever. So much that it would come across that she had no link to anything. "Nothing like that happened. It is all your imagination. To catch you, my men have dared to make this mistake of drugging you. For this, I gave them severe punishment to go against my orders. I never wanted to hurt you in my conquest of you."
Her eyes widened. "You mean that it was your men. I had some faint memory and then...oh it makes sense now."
She quickly recalled the words told to her by the familiar voice about how she would date or go alone somewhere with a guy but she couldn't let someone touch her before marriage. It definitely made sense now. After Aurang was killed perhaps, she must have become difficult for them to handle. But no! She stopped at this point. She didn't recall anything from Aurang's murder. So, it happened before they killed Aurang. It must be something like that they were separated from each other. Masab took care of Aurang while he must have asked his men to look after her.
"If it's bothering you then let me answer your doubt that I never trusted you with my men at all. It was me who had taken care of you once I spotted you. But you were quite fighting at that time. So one of my loyal men made the mistake of putting a drugged handkerchief on your nose. I gave him the punishment he deserved for even touching you. After that, I never even let any man come near you," he explained, finishing her queries.
Her jaw dropped. For some unknown reasons, even this new information made Andaleeb heart shiver with appreciation. That seemed hot and seductive to her to learn this strong man doing so much in his love for her.
"You are crazy. Don't tell me you killed that man of yours too," she spoke, in shock.
He jerked his shoulder. "He got the punishment which he deserved."
Everything about this man was dangerous, seductive yet odd. However, the exact odd girl in her wanted this ride at every cost. All Masab thought about was the fact that becoming a hero or villain wasn't a piece of cake. But since the moment the hero would come, he had to see a bitter end of his love story.
