Freedom. Her last and only chance.
Retribution against all those innocent people which this man hurt.
She once again stared at him, who had his eyes closed as he was devouring her lavish mouth as if there was no tomorrow. He had his arm encircled around her waist as he was holding her tightly over him. He softly brushed his fingers over her spine, driving her insane with this mesmerizing touch. Andaleeb suddenly felt everything was jammed up. As though she wouldn't be able to breathe properly if Masab kept on being so near to her.
Humiliation, embarrassment, and guilt filled her, and then she made the ultimate decision.
She plopped her hands over his chest and then paused their kiss. The exhale he gave off was out of annoyance because of the way she made a distance between their mouths. His every action and body language gave off the gesture of his immense love and craving for her. He didn't fear coming vulnerable in front of her. The vulnerability which her love pushed in him but maybe he didn't consider that one. He considered it his strength, and soon, if her hatred would be won, that same misconception would bring his doom.
Andaleeb peppered small kisses over his chest. "I sometimes don't understand how can you love me so much. Don't you fear that your love can backfire on you?"
He simply shook his head before capturing her mouth in a passionate kiss again. "I have faith in my love, sweetheart. If it's making me ache, it's not going all unaffected on you as well."
A strong rush of anger shot through her veins at his words. He was overconfident and she would shove away every idol of love he had made in his head. Andaleeb traveled her lips from his chest to his arm, making him unaware of the surroundings as her own hand skidded towards her pillow.
Her fingers touched the metallic texture of the gun. Her heart picked beat in anxiety as she contemplated whatever she was thinking to do. Was she really going to kill the man who loved her so dearly and passionately? Was she really going to murder the guy she herself was in love with? Was she really going to betray her husband, who had his full trust, hope, and love in her?
However, that wasn't the first time she did it. She also betrays Aurang by falling in love with his murderer. She also betrayed herself by giving her everything to this man whom she wanted to despise.
"I like darkness," she asserted before switching off the lamp on the bed's side table.
Now, all of a sudden, the room, which was a bit dusky earlier, was, bathed in darkness. The only orbit of light was coming from that of moonlight, which made a reflection through the crevices of the cream-colored curtains.
The atmosphere became dreamy and romantic. With the fragrance of the vanilla-scented bed, it gave off a charming vibe. However, who could think that why this darkness was made to occupy this intimate moment?
In this aura, she could only make out the contours of the whites of his eyes. However, from the warmth and feel of their bodies, their breathing, and their heartbeats, she felt closer to Masab.
"Not peculiar at all. I, too, like darkness. In the dark, one didn't have to pose as someone. One doesn't have to fear of being getting caught on. One can be one himself. As a twisted couple, we make a perfect match," he explained, with a tinge of amusement in his voice.
He grabbed her slim waist and tried to roll them over but Andaleeb resisted.
She pushed one finger over his lips. "Not today. I want to be treated like a queen if you consider me a queen of your heart."
Masab blinked in acceptance. "You are my queen, sweetheart."
This time, she slightly pecked his lips, then moved over to his jaw and chin, feeling his prickly beard tickling with her soft lips. The sudden shift in his breathing pattern ascertained the fact that he was completely rendered charmed by her. She moved over to his big biceps, feeling them under her arms. In the darkness, where her vision felt overwhelmed by her other senses, he seemed stronger, attractive, and handsome to her. His arms were so muscled and big that even her fingers were enticed by them.
Masab caressed her cheekbone and by the way they were warm, he was sure that they must be flushed. Next, his destination was her lips, and the way they were swollen made him proud that it all occurred because of their heated kisses. She loved their intimate moments together and enjoyed them.
"You are the part of my existence, a part of myself and my everything. Because of you, I can feel myself slowly but surely becoming that version of myself that I always dreamt of becoming. Don't be scared of your feelings, my love. Just remember that I belong to you. Just remember that I will never hurt you for anything in this world. You are just going to have to get used to me. And we have all the time, all the moments, and all the instances in this world. Just hold onto me," he mumbled, truthfully, slowly yet sharply gliding his palm over her sides, enticing her more with this action.
She gasped out in surprise and pleasure. She wished it was as easy as he was saying it. It was difficult so much. Why he had to love her so much that after everything he did, his love was ready to become her balm? He should have appeared as a psychotic and obsessed man who just wanted to own her. She shouldn't have fallen in love with him at all. That was her mistake. She was weak and she made her heart even weaker to let Masab enter inside.
Andaleeb sniffed her nose and then glared at him. "I don't want to hold onto you. I hate you, Masab. I want to ruin you and I'll go to any extent to do so."
The air changed around them, and then abruptly, she felt his body stiffening under her. His hand, which was caressing her curves, paused while his lips stopped at her collarbone, which he had kissed a while ago.
"Ruin me all you want. A life without you is unacceptable for me. You are my life, my heart, and my only thought. After all, love is about sacrifices. Love is not about possession. It's about appreciation. If you'll ruin me, I'll find peace. But I bet that you won't remain unscathed as well," Masab uttered, sharply and confidently.
She felt this as an attack but it didn't make her furious. He was right. He knew that she must have also been burning in the same fire he was as well. She was in denial, but there was something that she also felt for him, which was the same as him. However, Andaleeb didn't want to remain behind anymore. She had to find peace of mind. And that wasn't possible in his presence at all. He gave her peace of heart, but her mind was constantly pushed by Aurang and his sister's thoughts.
She smirked, nibbling at his lower lip harshly which made him suck in a breath. "You know that the one thing we can never get enough of is love. And the one thing we never give enough of is love as well."
Instead of getting affected by what she said, Masab put his hand over the back of her head and then brought her face closer to him. Their lips were just inches apart and by this position, she was able to feel his hot breath over hers. He lingered there and didn't proceed, giving her an option to decide whether she wanted this kiss or not. But there was so much havoc that occurred in her heart due to his closeness that she obliged to her heart, but she had to make her mind happy too. Hence, her hand once again sought the gun, and this time,e, she removed it.
"To love and have loved, that's enough, Andaleeb. After that, nothing else matters. Love takes off the mask which we think we can not live without them," he told her, in between the kiss.
Once again, the gravity and truth in his words made her appear stone-like. He was a liar, but why did his every statement today have to be true? The mask he was talking about fit perfectly on her. That was the mask that she wasn't ready to pull out. This mask was in the form of that gun, and then she really pulled it out.
As soon as the coldness of the metallic texture of the gun touched Masab's temple, he stilled and paused the kiss again. His eyes widened and he gazed at her with a dropped jaw.
"When love isn't wildness, it isn't love. Tonight I will kill you, Masab," she harshly spat and put her shivering index finger over the trigger.
