A betrayal.
Saying these words to Daneen didn't carry any importance anymore. It felt more like hypocrisy. Those words should have made her hate Masab more and have a fear. But why the fact that he would have chased her in the whole world if she tried to run away from him sounded good to him? Like a fantasy and an ear candy? God, she was becoming twisted.
"That's not good. It shouldn't have happened to you. I...I wish I could have done something for you," Daneen mumbled, looking almost on the verge of breaking down.
She hissed. "Don't feel bad. I am fine. I can take care of myself. Have your trust in me. I won't be a pushover and easy target for him."
Easy target?
The last night moved as a film in front of her and then she shuddered. This infatuation was leading her towards nowhere. Her stare again locked with him and his same dangerous smile did so much to her heart when it shouldn't have done so.
"Take care of yourself. You can always find me standing for you, Andi," Daneen said, cupping the side of her face.
She just nodded in understanding. Andaleeb even felt betrayed by her own self, her own body, and her own heart. That was not going quite well at all.

This dress was an even bigger mess than expected. This was so heavy and difficult that by the end of the ceremony, Andaleeb just got a dire need to get rid of it. This day was tiring for her. She was exhausted to the core, but seeing her loved ones, she got the strength that she needed. And she didn't know what the future would bring for her. It would not be pleasant and easy. It would be filled with hurdles and hardships. The biggest one was definitely her own desire for Masab. Her heart and her mind were getting so touched up and so used to the idea of her husband that they were seeing heartwarming dreams.
After a set of another lot of useless rituals, she was made to leave for their bedroom. Again, seeing the delicately and beautifully decorated room sped up her pulse. What would this night bring for her? Shaking away every idiotic thought in her mind, she made her way toward the en suite to get rid of this weird dress.
Andaleeb couldn't even understand how people wore such heavy dresses. Wouldn't their backs break by the effect and they tumble over their outfits?
She stood in front of the mirror and glanced at her reflection. She looked different than before. She had a different glow than before. Her heart now was beating for someone else other than Aurang. Her every pore was aching for someone else, not the one she loved.
Andaleeb moved her hand towards the bridal dupatta which was tugging over her bun. She fumbled with countless pins over her head which was used to settle the dupatta there in annoyance. When she couldn't succeed after even five minutes, she cursed loudly and then, in anger, just pulled the dupatta apart. She opened the first drawer and it revealed a pair of scissors. Andaleeb got hold of it and then cut the dupatta.
A scratching sound reverberated and then her eyes widened. She just cut the expensive dupatta. However, what could she have done? She was not born to be patient over waiting for different things. And now so many emotions were running in her that this bridal dress felt like a nuisance for her.
Her target was now her bridal dress next. Andaleeb shifted her fingers over the back of her blouse, hooking her fingers in the buttons when the door of the ensuite pushed and someone entered.
None would dare to enter other than Masab surely and she knew it even without looking back from the way his confident footsteps sounded.
She gazed at the mirror and found Masab's reflection through this as he was taking swift steps towards her. His walk was daring, without any second thought pretentious and focused. As though he was here to conquer. His gaze met her through the mirror as well and then it traveled throughout her length. His eyes got more and more darker with each passing second at her sight, as though he would devour her once again.
